“How was your flight?” He asked, gesturing for a servant to bring forth their horses. “I was sent by The Queen… She wants to talk to you. Says it’s .. it’s strikes her how people are starting to wonder… If your marriage was consumed.”  He loathed to say those words to her, but he wanted her prepared for Alicent’s onslaught. 

"Ser Harwin" Rhaenyra greeted him with a smile, a testimony that she was not immune to his charms. "Wonderful but brief." She left Syrax in the care of the dragon keepers and walked over to the horses. The animals looked meek in comparison to the dragon. If she could she would have flown into the Red Keep and landed on Alicent's balcony, but that would amount to nothing but agitation at court, and Rhaenyra preferred to avoid that in light of recent events.

At the mention of Alicent's motives for sending for her Rhaenyra's face soured. "It has only been... Five months," there was a trace of hurt in her words, as she couldn't stop her emotions from spilling over, "What does she want? It is not an easy-" She pressed her lips shut and relaxed her hands that she had clenched into fists. Harwin didn't need to know this, in fact the matter was private and it hurt her that Alicent would go digging in it. Was her friend truly gone? “Will you accompany me back to the Keep?” she asked kindly.

Out of the things he could have been doing, a group project with either the boys or Lilly would be his wishes. Nope. 

James is doing it with Severus. His gaze went from his own work then back at his partner. Just do this and he would never have to see him again. Frowning, Prongs goes to his pairing and he pulled up a chair next to him. “ So we are pairings.” He says.  James snorts. He did not mind doing all the work, but then the Slytherin will not have a mark. 

Relaxing his shoulders, he gazed upon Lilly then at the boys who were parings with each other.  Was it a full moon tonight? If it was then Remus would have to.. leave. James and the boys would have to follow him too. James opens his book and he looked at the assignment he had to do with him. Ah enchanting something or transfiguration. Easy.  

“ This is simple, I bet we can do this easily right?” James says to him. James takes out his wand from his pocket.

Every fibre of his body tensed as his nemesis (he would go so far as to say arch-nemesis) sat down next to him. “So it would seem,” Severus mustered out between gritted teeth. If he had been a cat his fur would have bristled like the straws of a broom.

He followed Potter’s gaze and read in it the longing he himself would have felt if he had a group of friends to study with. At least this meant they were both suffering from this assignment. With a smug smile Severus turned back to the book and the task ahead.

“If it’s that simple, why don’t you demonstrate?” He gave Potter a challenging look, but deep down he was afraid that the other would succeed on his first try. Transfiguration was Potter’s strong suit, unlike Severus who preferred potions.

Muses: James and Severus

The clock struck three in the afternoon and reminded Severus that he was late. As if he needed a reminder -- he hated being late. He picked up the pace and ran up the stairs from the dungeons two steps at a time. It wasn’t enough, he still arrived to Professor McGonagall’s classroom ten minutes late, when the air was already filled by the sound of scraping pens on parchment.

Stooping his gaze, he hurriedly made it past the Gryffindor tables, ignoring the jeers they whispered as he passed by, and settled on an empty bench. Despite his better judgement he glanced back at Lily’s seat, only to lock eyes with Potter. He wished his eyes could enchant him into a toad. McGonagal seemed to have read his mind as she approached and asked Severus to perform a transfiguration spell on the goblet she placed before him. Severus looked dumbfounded for a moment, then whipped out his wand and pointed it at the goblet. Nothing happened. To the goblet that is. The air filled with laughter until it died away under the professor’s sharp gaze.

“That will be homework, Mr Snape,” she remarked pointedly. “For all of you,” she continued turning to the rest of the class, “I would like to see each and every one of you transform the goblet into a dove and then back into its original form. And you will be working in pairs.”

She waved her wand and goblets floated out to every second person in the classroom. Severus, who was sitting alone at his table felt that he might have lucked out and could work on his own, but he would have to think twice. “And since you might need some extra help, Snape, I propose you work with Mr Potter.”

Severus could feel his stomach drop. The frustration and helplessness was evident in his eyes, but he didn’t dare object and lose points for his house. “Yes, professor,” he said gloomily.

The ship that housed two travellers was Grogu’s new favourite place. It was not as cosy as their previous ship, but who cared about that when it was so much faster? He loved the pull in his tiny stomach when they whooshed through space and the stars painted lines in the dark space.

There was not a lot of whooshing going on right now, so Grogu occupied himself with his second favourite thing -- munching on some piece of loose equipment -- while he waited for Mando to take him on a ride.

The Jedi temple was a big place with high ceilings and long corridors. It presented an openness as if it welcomed space itself. Large as it was, it held many mysteries to discover, many glowing, rolling or funny-sounding discoveries. Maybe tasty as well? Grogu was on his way to make one of these discoveries as he clumsily climbed up on a monitor in the large file room.

How had he become separated from his class of padawans? How had he made it all the way to this room on his short legs? Yet another mystery to be discovered...

Grogu’s only concern was how to get to the shining orb on top of the monitor. Perhaps someone could help him? He reached with his tiny arms towards it and cooed softly -- a tactic that usually worked.

She did not even realize when she smiled back at her. Rhaenyra was her delight : a sun in which rays she would bask, forgetting all her worries. Were you born a man, everything would be… easier, she thought at her words, but said : “ He tried very hard to get what he wanted. Seven Kingdoms did not fall magically to his lap one day, he waged a long war to earn it. And he wouldn’t take it without his women’s help, of course. Unless the books lie, but I doubt that. Behind every great success there is a woman, do not forget it, Rhaenyra. There is no shame in being a woman, nor in our duties.”

Rhaenyra listened to Alicent’s soft voice. Her words were as always full of wisdom beyond her years, and the young princess wanted to take in every word. But the words melted together into a river of daydreams and Rhaenyra was no longer listening, she was imagining another life for the two of them.

In the quiet after Alicent had spoken Rhaenyra looked up at her friend and a fire was burning playfully in her eyes. “You are right, we should not be ashamed of who we are, nor what we want.” She sat up and turned towards Alicent with the same glow in her eyes. “If you could claim whatever you wanted for yourself, what would you take?” Her heart was beating hard in anticipation, she knew what she herself wanted, but she could only guess what ambitions Alicent held deep in her soul.

“I am not. I give them the attention they deserve,” she proclaimed, tilting her head back to glance at Alicent with a smile. Then she let her head relax and closed her eyes, enjoying the simple pleasure of Alicent’s caress. Rhaenyra sighed, “I believe only Aegon the Dragon was born to get what he wanted. It seems to be a luxury reserved for men.” She pouted her lips and unconsciously creased her forehead. “I wish I had been born a man.”

A warm breeze blew through her hair and Syrax shifted restlessly next to her. She could sense his desire to stretch his wings, it mirrored her own yearning to escape far away and soar among the clouds. Oh to be free. Their flight would have to be delayed for a moment as someone was bravely approaching the dragon and its rider. Rhaenyra turned toward the approaching figure with an expectant look, waiting for them to state their business.
