Jethro watched in silence as the woman handled the individual with ease, keeping him from unleashing a godly reign of sarcastic and sardonic remarks. Not that he minded. He was a little too tired to play patty with drunkards, surprise surprise. Taking it as a win, Jethro began to dig into his meal almost immediately when the women who “saved” him turned back to him. Okay, he thought, maybe I am in the mood for guests. “I’m a lot of things ma’am, but I ain’t no donkey… I’m more of a mule kind of guy.” He showed her a bright smile and chuckled at his own joke, Then he took a second to finish swallow his food before continuing, “And judging by the way you said that, you’re glad to see me. Am I right or am I right?”
"I wouldn't go that far." Talia retorted trying to keep a smirk from foaming on her face. "More like mildly amused and slightly surprised. But it doesn't go much beyond that I'm afraid." The ping-pong style of banter was one she liked...Well she liked it with anyone who lacked a blood connection to her anyway. It was lighthearted and entertaining, something to take her mind off of the weight on her tiny shoulders.
