Even if I weren’t faithful, I would still adore Christ and Christianity — there is no other faith that provides both a logically & emotionally compelling mythos that holds the world so steadily in Its Truth.
Through something as clean and plain as the single thread of love, Christianity hems sharp realities and weaves all contradictions into one cohesive and beautiful cloak that both dignifies and comforts the world.
I thank God that I was born in a Catholic-majority country; for the freedom and the access to the rich tradition that celebrates His Mystery.
Sentiments above renewed after beginning to read Magnifica Humanitas and after Pope Leo XIV’s humble asking for pardon for the Vatican’s role in colonialism and enslavement.
The wheel of history according to our Lord turns once more.
The future more evidently belongs to Him and His Church than it ever has.
