What are you most looking forward to about college?

The football season. Seriously, Ohio State games are intense. I used to go to some every now and again, it was some of the most fun ever. Now that I'm on the team? It's gonna be even more special. I can't wait!

Honestly, Unique was surprised after all they’d been through that Ryder was willing to help her. She’d hurt him pretty badly by pretending to be someone she wasn’t, and though her heart was in the right place, that had made things go sour between the two of them. Eventually though the pair of them patched things up and the two were better friends than they’d ever been, with all the catfish drama long forgotten between the two of them.

Unique had found the roach under her refrigerator. Upon seeing it she’d screamed so loud she was certain the walls had shook under the weight of it, and she’d run away from it before it went hiding somewhere else. Eventually she found it again and managed to kill it after a long time of being far too scared to even come close to it, but she was still afraid that there’d be more where that other one was found. She enlisted Ryder’s help to get things sorted and she hoped the man could be her saving grace.

Hearing Ryder at the door she went over immediately and opened it up for him, smiling at the man that sat on the other side of the door. “Thank heavens you’re here - Unique was losing her mind about this damn house,” she said to the man, stepping further into the place to allow Ryder to come on in. She walked into the kitchen and pointed to the fridge, pointing that out as the place everything had transpired. “The little creepy crawly came out from under here. I’m afraid he might have friends.”

When Unique opened the door to let him inside, he gave her a small smile when she let him know that she was losing her mind about her place. “Hey, don’t worry, your new roach killer is here and at your service.” Ryder joked playfully. He followed her into the kitchen and listened on as she explained where the roach had come from. 

“Interesting... I’ll take a look under there and around your drains and stuff to make sure there aren’t anymore lingering around. If there are, I will kill them for you and then I can start spraying.” He mused. “Do you mind if I move the fridge out so I can take a look back there?” Ryder asked curiously.

Aw dude, you’re gonna kill it for OSU this season. There’s not that much that I miss about actually being in school, but football is one of the few things I do miss. I gotta try and get out to see a game or two of yours this season. What’s the coach there like? Anything like Beiste?

Thanks, bro! Football and glee club were the only good things about school, I definitely agree with you. Yeah, let me know when you wanna come out and I’ll get you tickets! 

Coaches are pretty intense, Beiste really prepared me for coaches like this, that’s for sure!

A Helping Hand || Rynique

Ryder Lynn had always prided himself on being helpful whenever he could. Though his time in the glee club had been rocky, there were also some fun experiences and great friendships that had come out of it. When he made the pact with Jake, Marley, Kitty, and Unique, he truly meant it. He would do anything to support them. 

Of course, things with Unique had been tough in the end. She had catfished him and it hurt. However, Ryder had come around to what happened between them. He knew that there was a strong connection online, and he forgave her for what she had done. 

After graduating, Ryder hadn’t spoken with many of the glee kids. He had been accepted to Ohio State on a football scholarship. His grades were not the best, but his abilities on the field were incredible, and they brought him in because of that. With his dyslexia, Ryder knew that he would need to work twice as hard, but it was worth it because he was one step closer to the dream he had since he was a young boy: becoming an NFL wide receiver. 

When Unique posted about having a roach in her place, Ryder remembered the pact they had made and promised her he would be there. So, after practice, he did just that. Freshly showered, Ryder was clad in an Ohio State Football t-shirt and black gym shorts. He got in his car and made the hour and a half drive to Lima from Columbus. He took the time to listen to some music and sing obnoxiously on the way. 

Once he arrived at Unique’s,  he knocked at the door and waited for her to let him in.

It really is. It’s a surreal thing, honestly. I’m glad you’re enjoying New York. School is definitely hard. I totally feel that. I’m glad you’re back living with Kurt! That’s great. I’m happy for you.

Thanks, bro. Always super encouraging and stuff. I appreciate that. It’s a lot of work, but it is all worth it. I always dreamed of being in the NFL. This is my chance to work toward making that a reality. So what have you been doing in New York?
