There’s a kid in me that will always believe in happy endings. A little girl—who always looks up to her prince charming. But darling, there’s also an old soul within me, that seems to live in her own reality. Someone who will always expect for things to change. Someone who will always try to understand why people leave and why some things need to end.

hey friendly psa/reminder that with the seasons changing right now, a lot of people with mood disorders (and even people without them) can get all messed up and wonky from that so try to go a little easy on yourself if you find yourself spiraling or getting emotional a lot lately okay? youre doin your best. love u
i can’t believe all the people losing their shit over this post are the same people who make ‘triggered’ jokes.
Here’s the thing.
If you at all monitor your language based on your audience—avoiding curse words in front of kids, using bigger words in front of your boss—you obviously care about the impression your words give people.
Do you avoid talking about the attractive sex after your bestie’s breakup? Congratulations, friend, you’re being a decent human being.
Your friend wishes you call them Charlie instead of Charlotte. It’s just a nickname. Would you say “No, your birth certificate says Charlotte so I’m calling you Charlotte?”
Your co-worker tells you that he gets extremely uncomfortable when you clap him on the shoulder, due to a creepy uncle who did the same thing. Do you make a point to clap him on the shoulder every time you see him?
It is really not that difficult to be “politically correct.” It does not mean that you must eliminate all opinions completely, it merely means—at a basic level—that you should attempt to be aware of your audience and how your words and actions affect them.
Don’t call it being “PC,” if you must. Call it being “aware and empathetic.” Being a human with decency and respect for other people, cultures, and experiences.

Watch: Poet Elizabeth Acevedo nails the hypocrisy of anti-choice advocates.
Damn.
!!!!
You guys should watch PBS documentary on Evangelical Christians who are against abortions but are pro gun rights. The way they think makes absolutely no sense.
It makes perfect sense when you realize that they’re not really Christians. They’re white nationalists aka racists hiding behind the bible. They utilize the fight against abortion to disguise their white nationalist baby breeding agenda.

I want to kiss her. Not because I want to feel the softness of her fair lips or the warmth of her breath as she exhales against me. I want to kiss her because I can’t think of any other way to fully express the beauty that she is. I want her to know that I see her as perfect. That she is perfect.

Sometimes you have to break promises not because you want to but because you have to.

I have a years worth of voicemails from him. It just randomly occurred to me the other day and I don’t know what to do. Do I delete them? Do they matter enough to put the effort ?
It feels like a lifetime ago that I was in love with him. I feel like a completely different person since being free of him. I feel so happy and care free in a day to day basis knowing he isn’t in my life. Not caring about how he’s doing. I wish him well but he almost never crosses my mind. My mind, body, and money are my own. And it’s a wonderful feeling.
But still... this is the last trace of him and our relationship i have. Does that even matter after all he put me through?
It’s so strange now thinking back. How did I put up with so much? How did I allow my self to cry everyday ? Why did I convince myself it was love?
If I can thank him for anything it’s that he taught me to not give a fuck about anyone else. If a person can claim to love me and still ruin me and cause me so much pain, then why should I care about anyone else. I matter most to myself. I love myself more than anyone else. I have to. Loving someone else more than i loved myself nearly killed me. I don’t think I could do it again if I wanted. I feel like he took that hope and belief from me. Maybe I’ll get it back someday.
Until then I’m deleting the voicemails.
i love when women realize they not asking for too much
I made up my mind to keep my feelings to myself since they did not seem to matter to anyone else but me.
