Oh, and Iâm her girlfriend (Tammy Gregorio x Reader)
âąâą This is almost three full pages on my google docs LMAO I hope you all enjoy some Tammy action! âąâą
Tammyâs past was no secret. Everyone that had ever looked up New Orleans online had read about Ethan McKinley and how heâd embezzled over $80 million dollars from the relief fund for hurricane Katrina. Most of the communities within the city could still use that money. Tammy has put so much space between her and McKinley that only a few people ever remembered she was married to the thieving bastard. So, when you spotted him sipping on a martini at the other end of Prides bar, you stormed through the crowd, leaving Tammy with the rest of the team. You grabbed Ethan by the shoulder. He almost spilled his drink.
âWhat are you doing here!â You tried to yell over the band.
âI need to talk to Tammy!â You barely heard back. You motioned for him to follow you as you headed outside the bar onto the street.
âTalk to her about what?â You crossed your arms, leaning up against the building. âYou shouldnât even be in New Orleans.â He sighed. His shoulders dropping. When he brought his head up you could see the desperation in his eyes.
âI didnât know where else to go.â
âWhat happened?â You asked. âI thought you worked out a deal with the prison?â He nodded.
âI did, but now the people I embezzled the money with are trying to kill me.â You rolled your eyes.
âOf course they are. Itâs always something with you!â He blinked.
âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â He put a hand on his chest and waved his other hand out towards the city. âI only came back here to warn Tammy before-!â Tires squealed as a van turned the corner and sped down the street. The side door opened and your eyes widened at the street lights reflecting off the tip of an AK47. You manage to push Ethan to the ground just as the bullets started to fly. One of the windows of the bar shatters. People inside the bar scream. Tires squeal again as the van drives off. Pride is the first to come rushing out with his gun drawn. He sighs seeing you arenât hurt, only to tense again at the sight of Ethan. Tammy comes running out beside him. You smile.
âSurprise?â Once NOLA PD showed up on scene Ethan was put into protective custody and driven off. Hopefully, you thought, out of Louisiana entirely.
âSo, Ethan came here only to tell me to watch out for the idiots he squealed on?â Tammy said, coming up to stand next to you as you watched the last patrons walk out of Prides bar. You nodded.
âThatâs what he said.â Pride came in from the kitchen area. He was wiping a glass off with a rag.
âItâs getting late, you two.â He stated. âGo home and get some sleep, and donât worry about tomorrow, Iâm giving you both the day off.â You smiled. Your eyes suddenly became heavy.
You and Tammy managed to get home and collapse into bed within the hour and you werenât the least bit surprised that the next time you woke up the sun was high in the sky and your alarm clock said 2:00 pm. You turned over to Tammyâs side of the bed with a smile, only to be met by cold sheets. The smell of bacon suddenly hit your nose and you sat up. You rubbed your eyes. Thatâs where Tammy was then, huh? Cooking breakfast in the kitchen? You slowly made your way to the kitchen. Tammy smirked as she flipped the bacon in the pan.
âI thought this might get you up.â You leaned on the counter and sighed.
âHow long have you been up?â
âOnly for an hour.â She turned off the stove and plated the bacon next to some bagels. âGave me enough time to cook breakfast.â She sat down at the counter across from you. You sat down and snorted.
âIt took you that long to stick the bagels in the toaster?â She shrugged.
âI had to have a couple of cups of coffee first.â She took a bite of her bagel. âNOLA PD had a car parked out front.â
âReally?â She nodded.
âThey just left to change shifts. Another one should be here in less than half an hour.â You smirked.
âYou wanna get out of here before anyone notices?â She smiled.
âI thought we could go for a walk in the park.â You blinked.
âYou? Want to walk in the park?â She blushed and twirled a finger through her hair.
âIâve always wanted toâŠbut I always thought it was stupid and girly.â She chuckled. âUntil you showed me doing girly things donât make me stupid.â You reached across the counter and took her hand.
âWe better hurry then, if weâre gonna make it out of here before the next shift gets here.â
As soon as you and Tammy got out of the apartment building you both ran to the closest park, laughing and shoving each other the whole way.
âSo,â You elbowed her in her shade as you headed down a path by the water. âIs taking a walk in the park all you imagined it would be?â
âI have to admit it, this is pretty nice. I didnât think it would be this secluded.â She laughed. âCanât hear a musician or any construction.â A loud twig snap made you jump. Tammy pulled you back by your shirt collar as three men jumped out of the tree line. The leader smirked. Your heart was racing.
âI donât need to hurt you, sweetheart. Just give us your friend.â You scowled. You two were outnumbered by one man and three guns. Today wasnât the day to have left your weapons at home. You clenched your hands into fists, and you couldnât see Tammy behind you, but you could bet she was doing the same.
âIâd like to see you try.â You said, before lunging for him. You tackled him to the ground while Tammy went for the other two.Â
âAnd Iâm her girlfriend, dill weeds!â You managed to wrestle the gun away from the one you were fighting, but he kicked it out of your hand. You kicked him where the sun didnât shine and he tried to headbutt you. His head made contact with your collarbone and you winced. It didnât break, but it definitely did something. You finally got your hands around his head and slammed it into the ground, rendering him unconscious. You huffed.
âFinally.â You looked over at Tammy and where she was fighting. One man was on the ground unconscious. Tammy had the other one on the run. You got up and ran after her as she got out of sight.
âTammy!â You called after her. A gunshot rang out. âTAMMY!â You screamed, forcing yourself to run faster. You rounded a corner and saw Tammy curled up in a ball on the ground. âTammy!â You collapsed onto the ground beside her. She groaned as you tried to roll her over. âCome on, Tammy, I gotta see where you were shot.â You stated and she chuckled, with a wince.
âItâs just my shoulder.â She sat up and gripped her hand around the wound. âIâll be fine. We better call Pride.â You sighed through your nose before smiling.
âWeâre calling an ambulance first.â
Tammy was admitted for her shoulder. The bullet went straight through, so at least she wouldnât have to have surgery. You were just sitting beside her bed, watching some daytime soap opera when your phone went off in your pocket.
âPride?â You asked as you answered.
âHey, howâs Tammy doing?â You smirked as you watched her sip on her water.
âSheâs good.â You could see Prideâs shoulders relax from here.
âGood, good. Well, just got a call from NOLA PD, they picked up the man that shot Tammy.â It was your turn for your shoulders to relax.
âHe crumbled once they got him in the interrogation. McKinleyâs associates will be going away for a long time.â
âThanks, Pride. Iâll let her know.â
âThey caught the guy that shot you. This should be all over now.â Tammy smiled and laid her head back on her pillow.
âGood. Now I just hope I never see Ethan again.â A knock came from the door. Tammy groaned. âETHAN, WHY ARE YOU HERE?â You chuckled as Tammy rose her voice. She pulled her bed sheet over her face. Ethan took a step into the room.
âI wanted to apologize before I got shipped off to some small town in the middle of nowhere until this trial is over.â
âEthan,â You state calmly. âIf you want to make it to that small town in one piece I suggest you leave.â Your stare turned cold. âNow.â Ethan didnât stick around, and in normal Ethan fashion, hightailed it out of there. Tammy snorted.
âLeave. Now.â She laughed. âSo intimidating.â
âShut up.â You chided, smiling. You were glad he didnât know what he had when he had it. If not for his stupidity who knows what would have happened to you and Tammy.
