I was very excited to start the sequel to a completed campaign a few weeks ago. We never got the opportunity to get out of the one location we were in last campaign, so traveling in the larger world was something very new for us.

There are so many ways to make moodboards, bookcovers, and icons without plagiarizing! As artists, authors, and other creatives, we need to be especially careful not to use someone else’s work and pass it off as our own.

recently found out about openverse which i think aggregates a bunch of creative commons images from flickr, wikimedia, nasa etc… pretty handy

Day 6 for #OC_tober - Favorite Memories. Pollux cherishes the memory of catching a shooting star as she and her brother revisit their 'hiding spot' from childhood, and of her 'date' with Valeryn - sneaking into an aquarium after-hours and swimming with the jellyfish (and getting caught! lol)

Day 5 for #oc_tober2023 - Inventory! I started out only drawing items laid flat, but decided telling a story with it would be more interesting. This is something like Pollux’s and Valeryn’s standard camp setup while traveling on foot, out in the wilderness. They travel pretty light, other than the books!

Number 4 for #oc_tober2023 - Friends and Loved Ones! Pollux has been lucky to have some wonderful, supportive friends, even with some difficult life circumstances.

Day 3 for my #oc_tober prompts - this time, family! Little Pollux and Castor are around 8 or 9 here, along with their mother and father. (Or at least the man who acted like a father - regardless of biological relation.)This was a great exercise for me! I said initially I’d make it greyscale, but I’m glad I did color!
