🌙Tangled the Series Rewrite☀️
Okayyy sooo I just am not the biggest fan of season 3. And this is basically my rewrite of it.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Cass is NOT Gothels daughter. Personally I just didn't really like how the show handled this. It just really muddled up Cassandra's villan arc and her motivations I feel like. we all know how season 3 cass is.
Eugene is NOT the prince of the Dark Kingdom. I dont hate this but like I also never really cared for it. Its interesting sure but the show doesn't do anything with it. To me him being a prince kinda felt pointless since he ended up captain of the guard anyway. His future was already rooted in corona so why make him a prince?? Idk but that's how I feel. If that makes any sense.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Cass as the princess of The Dark kingdom and Edmunds daughter
It fixes a lot of the core issues with her arc like her claim on the moonstone, her motivations.
Years ago, when Queen Arianna fell ill, King Frederic sought out the legendary Sundrop flower to save her life.
King Edmund of the Dark Kingdom warned him—taking the flower would disrupt the balance with the Moonstone.
Frederic, desperate and stubborn, ignored him of course.
And the consequences were catastrophic.
The Moonstone destabilized. The Dark Kingdom began to crumble from within.
In the chaos, Edmund managed to evacuate his people, including his four-year-old daughter. To protect her identity as the kingdom’s heir, he sent her away.
When Frederic learned Edmund’s daughter had survived, he convinced himself she would grow into a threat to Corona. So he ordered the Captain of the Guard to find her.
The Captain found her. He was filled with guilt, he chose to raise her as his own, giving her the childhood she’d been robbed of. Cassandra grew up in Corona unaware of her true heritage, which also adds an explanation for why she was never properly allowed into the guard despite being more than qualified.
When Edmund and Cassandra finally reunite, they quickly form an uneasy alliance. Edmund is relieved and overjoyed to have his daughter back—while also furious at Corona and especially at Frederic.
Cassandra isn’t seeking revenge at first. What she wants is to use the Moonstone to restore the Dark Kingdom, to rebuild what she lost. But that begins to change once Cassandra sees the state the people of the Dark Kingdom are in. I imagine that a lot of the people probably moved to somewhere else to live after the Dark kingdom fell. Corona of course sees Cassandra as a threat and is prepping for the worst.
Also maybe old Corona sides with the dark kingdom. Something I never understood is why these people were still loyal to Fredric. Thier homes got destroyed by the black rocks and Frederic didn't even help them and instead he covered up the truth. They should be mad at him. They lost a lot.
So now Edmund and Cassandra have the support of Old Corona behind them.
Rapunzel, meanwhile, is desperately clinging to the belief that peace is still possible. She refuses to accept that this has to end in a war—with Cassandra or with anyone.
Andddd that's about it. Sorry about the word vomit.
I just love the idea of Cass being the princess of The Dark Kingdom and making Frederic a bad guy.
