Yesterday I decided to take the plunge and cast on for a shawl, making the pattern up as I go. I’m just about ready to add the next colour which is always exciting. Today I have an assistant, can you see her? It’s now sunny and hot, but I’m ignoring the weather and pretending it’s still raining. I need just one more couch day! The Frangipani flowers are from our tree (which is growing at a rapid speed). They look so pretty in a small bowl and they smell so good! Hope you’re enjoying your Sunday or Saturday, depending on where you are in the world 💕

I may be home resting the 12 new stitches in my knee, but at least I’ve got style. 

My extremely bicoastal Compline socks are finally done! Begun in the North Cascades and finished in Maine.

More yarn organizing! I have so many small and mystery skeins. (Where did the yarn come from? What brand is it? The material is probably acrylic, but otherwise who knows!) These were all a mess, so I sorted them by size: almost full skeins in the pretzel barrel, medium size in the glass jar, and tiny little yarn bits that are just slightly too much to throw away are in the basket. I wish the barrel was clear because it’s hard to see what color the yarns are when it shades everything yellow, but this will work for now. I’ll have to put the jar somewhere special because the yarns look so pretty and colorful in there! :-)

That last phrase especially - “I won’t even try this because it doesn’t come naturally to me and I won’t be very good at it.” It really is like some kind of all-encompassing evil spirit sometimes.
