#jack being worried about phryne #and phryne flirting with jack when a murderer is nearby #very typical of them #you can see the wheels in his head turning #thinking about her invitation #jack you should have took the chance #and stay in her room to keep her safe #among other things happening #her face in the end is like “take a hint jack and act on it pls”

1. There is a murderer in the house and you might get killed
And
2. I can’t risk my heart with you just yet.
And then in Death at the Grand when he asks her to waltz, she says “Are you sure you wanna risk it?” and Jack says “What’s the risk?”

I'm actually doing pretty well and keeping busy these days. I don't need to fall down the rabbit hole again".
Then I accidentally opened a Tumblr notification, and the very first post on my dashboard was this one.
And just like that, I knew.
There is no pause. There is no turning back. I'm hopelessly in love with this fandom, and there's simply no escape for me.
