No one asked for this, so here goes. I'm uploading this the same day I wrote it, so it's not rly proof read and kinda rambly.

I feel like he grew up relatively well off; not sure if I want to call it rich, but he gives me the impression that his parents were at least somewhat famous.
I don’t mean hero-famous by that, necessarily. I headcanon his mother as a former model/actor turned fashion designer and his father as someone from the film industry (not 100% set on this part, but actor/ regisseur relationships are pretty common).
His mother would share his Quirk (or as Quirk development goes, have a weaker version of it); (not really sure about his father, though, probably something unrelated to Fibre Master).
Why do I think so? Let me explain.
I don’t remember if it’s been outright stated in the anime/ manga, but I think it was at the very least implied that Jeanist has contact points with the fashion industry be that in design or modelling. Honestly, I can see both.
It’s no secret he’s constantly aware of how his actions reflect on his work and reputation like he was raised under constant media attention if not straight PR management.
He’s always adjusting his hair and posing a lot, once again as if he’s expecting a camera to be around.
And, of course, there’s a negative side to this. There’s the constant pressure to meet the standards of others, standards that are more often than not impossibly high.
And when people feel like they aren’t enough, they turn to perfectionism to compensate. And Jeanist is very much a perfectionist.
Then, there’s the constant surveillance.
His hero costume has a high collar that hides half of his face, potentially to give him some sense of privacy.
You could argue the collar is so high to give him more denim to use for his Quirk, but I think, it goes deeper than that.
I think it’s also to hide his neck and to no one’s surprise, I think. His neck does make him look a bit odd and it makes me wonder, how someone so obsessed with outward appearances would feel about that.
Probably, at least a little insecure. So much so, that maybe they’d leave the collar of their hero costume untouched while expending the remaining denim of their coat/ clothing to stop a building from collapsing.

Or so much so, that they would wear high turtleneck sweater in the privacy of their own home.

So much so, that during the one time, we do see Jeanist’s face, his neck is still covered.

Lastly, there’s his hero name – Best Jeanist.
It could be viewed as arrogant to name yourself after an award or maybe it just ties into his past, the constant demands and expectations, now turned into aspirations he holds for himself.

What I really wanted to see with the Pro Heroes in MHA was less about them apprehending dangerous criminals and more dealing with ordinary hooligans doing some petty misdemeanors and shit.
Like more of what was going on with Mr. Smiley and Gentle Criminal, just a bunch a peeps clearly in it for the sole purpose of their own amusement and sticking it to the man. Villains who just caused minor inconveniences and served maybe a couple months of jail time and then went right back to it.
I wanted to see Best Jeanist just yelling at a random villain, “Dammit, Hoshino, when did they let you out?!”
Endeavor having to break up a college party in an abandoned building where people were drunk and Quirk usage started happening and got out of hand.
Eraserhead and Present Mic doing a coin flip over who was gonna deal with some guy shooting calligraphy ink out of his fingertips.
Just stuff that would make anyone put their head in their hands at the end of the day and repeat, "I need my job," over and over.
