ughhhh, coming back to this and feeling that while Ryu wouldn't fall to the psychosis to where he'd physically hurt baby Kage i feel like frustration would build to a point where he acts irrationally, unintentionally putting Kage in harm's way like. he's a wanderer by nature right, so let's wanderlust overtakes him to the extreme at some point where he gets a day to himself for once and gets some reprieve for a while but that gets ruined when Kage is returned to him and he sees the boy is fairly calm and doesn't fuss til he's back w Ryu which irritates him cuz why's the baby only good when with someone else? what's he doing wrong? is it Ryu? or is Kage doing it on purpose?

he doesn't like, break down or anything but he just looks at the kid for a good long minute as he's laying in his cot babbling or wtv, and so he just walks out. He doesn't have a destination in mind he just walks around all night n doesn't get home til the next day. NOW!!!!!!!!! i don't want baby Kage dyin ofc so let's say Ken visits n finds him crying with no Ryu in sight n stays w the poor baby til his papa returns

Ken would reprimand him for just leaving like that. Ryu wouldn't get it immediately in the moment, he'd be rather apathetic to it all cuz he only went for a walk? he didn't even go that far (by Ryu standards). he can't do anything now cuz of this kid and it irritates him. but it would hit him later that oh god Ken was right he shouldn't have done that what if something happened to the poor kid he shouldn't have done that, he could have killed the kid, he nearly killed the kid.

idkkkk just thinking of how Ryu's character as a wanderer would affect his fragile mental state in the RPPD AU
