Tara is the daughter of a French woman (Elise Morelles) and an American man (Tom Morelles), youngest daughter of three she was the golden child, always pushed by her parents expectations.
After her oldest sister (Melilla) dropped out of med school and started living with her punk boyfriend, her conservative parents disowned her and moved their life expectations for Meli to Tara. She struggled with it and connected with her brother Simon (the middle child) through their shared sensitivity.
When she was a teenager, her parents and brother were killed in the same shooting that killed Frank Castle's family, she was at a party with her friends. When she couldn't get the answers she wanted, she decided to follow the police detective route to find out what really happened that day.
Throughout her life, Tara has been looked down on or overlooked completely because she fit into the stereotype of the dumb material blonde. While she lived in a fairly rich household and cared about her apparenace, Tara was all but shallow. She is kind, sensitive, caring and hates making people feel left out. She is shy and tends to make herself small, unable to speak up for herself but always speaking up for others.
Night was already falling when Matt came back to his apartment, only to find a presence standing in front of his door, waiting. It was Tara, Jay's cousin, whom he'd talked to once or twice, in passage when she came to pick him up for their days out.
"Ah, Matt, I was waiting for you. I know this is a bit invasive and all, but I'm looking for Jay and no one answered the door, so I thought waiting for him was best. He hasn't answered in a few days, and he hasn't been around either, it seems, I've asked around." She rambled, a bit awkward, a bit panicked, a bit scared. For a cop, she wasn't very stereotypical strong woman.

"Are you here as a cop or as his cousin?"
▪︎ Matt stops outside the door to his apartment, collapsing his white cane and placing it into his pocket.
"As his cousin, and a worried responsible adult" she grimaced, playing with a strand of her hair with worry. "Jay isn't known for making the most responsible decisions in life, so... I don't like when he disappears." She admitted, looking down.
"All I can say is I haven't seen him. If that changes, I'll be in touch, I know how to reach you. That being said, if you really want to help Jay, in any way that matters, you should consider investigating his Father. I can slap him with all the charges in the world, but without a proper investigation none of it will stick. His wife has been in the hospital multiple times in the past year and so have his children. You want Jay back, then help make this city safe enough for him to be here."
"I-" she felt accused, suddenly. "I'm doing my best!" She argued, defensive. "And I'm trying to take care of Jay too, I know his dad, and I know my aunt is in the hospital. That's why I'm worried! He's been missing" she argued again, offended and defensive.
"Jay has a-" she froze. "Fuck" she breathed, looking down. "When did that- I-" she ran a hand through her hair. "I thought that- I didn't- shit." She frowned. "I'll fix that" she decided in a mumble.
"Do you know if he's well at least? Jay tends to-" she grimaced again. "Last time he disappeared, it didn't go very well and... I'm worried." He admitted.
"I've had a long day and being completely honest here, having a cop at my door is not how I wanted to end it, so if you could go away, that would be great."
"I-" she sighed. "Please Matt, take care of him. Really do. Jay... he's done some ugly things. Ugly for himself. He's suffered. And he's... he's hurt himself. Not in visible ways, but he has. So please, take care of him" she begged softly, she had faith, she believed in Jay, but how did you believe when someone you loved had suffered already?

Tara didn't even knock before she stormed into the mayor's office, flashing her badge. It was a bold move, but it was the only way she would be able to catch Cheshire. Or should she say Hecate Fisk? There were almost no records of her. Almost. Except there were, Mary fisk had recorded Hecate's existence in the government's records.
"I'm looking for Hecate Fisk" she said immediately as soon as she entered, blonde curls pulled into a ponytail, hand on her gun, if it went wrong. She knew she had basically no right here, but she'd deal with it later.
"There's a warrant out for your daughter's arrest, sir, and you must comply. Now where is she?" She added sternly, trying to be as strong as she could.

Wilson looked to the woman who had the audacity to barge into his office. He listened to her spiel, keeping the annoyance brought up by her presence at bay.
"I would like proof of this warrant." He replied, his voice even. He didn't care much for Hecate, he would be glad to be rid of her, but his wife for some godforsaken reason adored her. Her happiness was his first priority, always.
Not to mention the scandal of having one of his children arrested, it would be a nightmare in the court of public appearances.
Tara rolled her eyes. Of course the guy would ask for proof. So she pulled it out. A folded paper, and put it on his desk. A warrant for the arrest of Hecate Fisk, aka Cheshire. Along with the reasons why.
She was being charged for multiple murders, mainly friends of humanity, a mass murder from the protest the other day, and a few acts of terrorism.
"There. Proof. Your daughter is a mercenary and a murderer. What else do you need?" She argued, but she knew he was corrupt. The question was, how far?
Wilson took the paper, eyes trailing over the writing on the page. He placed it down on the desk, "At the moment, I don't know of her location, if I find out, I will be in contact with you."
He dismissed her with a wave of his hand. "You may leave now."
Tara's fists clenched by her sides, but she counted to ten and took the papers. "Very well, I'll leave you my card, then" she said calmly, setting her contact card on the desk. "I hope we can agree that Cheshire is far too dangerous to be free"
Then, she nodded and walked away, her heels clacking against the floor with the strength of her frustration. She knew he was hiding her. He had to be. Fisk always had eyes on whoever was useful to him, and Tara would bet her career on the fact Cheshire had killed for him.
