[[LATE]] SPAMTOBER Day 24: Paper Mache
Seriously tumblr?
My DAY 22 Spamtober picture got reported and considered "mature content" even though it shows absolutely nothing adult or graphic.
Having someone partially nude doesn't equal adult content. Anyway, it's not missing, but Tumblr thinks it's worth a content warning. :/
If it still doesn't get lifted, I will have to post a censored version here.
If you want to see full, unedited stuff, please go to my Twitter.

"Behold, I go forward, but [[they]] are not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]"
so if theta is still around, didn’t she also have this mean boss lady that had this (unrequited) crush on Spamton? I imagine she must’ve been seething when she found out about him and Tenna. she tormented that girl for nothing…
Ah, you must be referring to Nagela Sax, the Darkner who represents the fashion brand by the same name. Theta does work for her briefly, but I should clear up some things about her.
Nagela does not have an unrequited crush on Spamton. She sees him as a useful business partner and asset to boosting her own success and notoriety. Her obsession with modeling alongside him comes from a place of personal pride since she feels as if her looks complement his far more than any other woman, especially since he is often considered the "Most Handsome Man" of Cyber World during his BIG SHOT era via overwhelming public opinion. It's a power play, not romantic. However, I should note that they do engage sexually at least once, but nothing further comes out of it. Again, more of a power play on her part to know she got that experience from him, a man who is so notoriously private and mysterious.
Nagela is already quite acquainted with Tenna before Spamton ever meets him. The two Dark Worlds are linked very closely in this AU because they are no longer in separate buildings in the Light World. The two have partnered before since she paid to have her brand sponsored during TV World's prime time shows.
Although Spamtenna is canon in this AU, neither makes the sexual and romantic side of their relationship public, choosing instead to keep it all private due to potential drama and backlash from the public. Spamton has intense paranoia concerning the paparazzi intruding on his private affairs and any potential polarization of his image (and possibly Tenna's) for being in a romantic relationship, not to mention a homosexual one. Spamton also struggles with intimacy and chooses not to label his relationship with Tenna out of fear and insecurity.
To most people, Spamton and Tenna are seen as ideal business partners and close friends. Some of the people around them do suspect something more, and sometimes Tenna does slip up at times, drawing suspicion, but usually never to a degree that it gets either of them into a serious situation.
Nagela torments Theta out of arrogance and rivalrous spite to belittle another woman whom she can tell has some significant effect on Spamton. She isn't sure exactly why he gets nervous around her, but she comes to the (incorrect) conclusion that he potentially has a romantic interest in Theta, and she hates the idea of another woman having a greater form of power, control, or influence over Spamton. She could tell that Theta does see Spamton fondly and affectionately, and to crush any hopes and dreams of the girl ever finding love with him is the ultimate power play of dominance she could ever exert on someone she mentally designates as a threat to her influence over Spamton. She hires her for the sole (and extremely petty) purpose of messing with her and destroying her self-esteem.
What she doesn't know is that even after she fires Theta, the girl never gives up, and she continues to pursue Spamton even as it becomes increasingly harder for her to reach him. Her connection to him goes far deeper than Nagela ever suspects (but I'll have to explain how this works in another post since it's too complicated and involves the way Addison SOULs function.)
Nagela does not see Tenna as a threat since he is a man. She only really gets competitive over other women since she feels she is far more beautiful and superior, similar to the Evil Queen in "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves."
I hope that explains things thoroughly! Feel free to ask more questions.
For ease of reference, below is the original post I made on Nagela.
💬 7 🔁 5 ❤️ 47 · "What makes you think he would ever love a disposable little thing like you, even if he could?" I'm finally getting aroun
I've seen posts of your Loveletter AU, but I still can't tell what it's about? Care to explain?
This question is reminding me that I should make a master post about it at some point. haha.
LoveLetter is a psychological, dark fantasy reimagining of DELTARUNE with Spamton as the lead character. The story is told entirely from a Dark World perspective, usually Spamton's, and most of it takes place years before Kris ever enters a Dark World. A majority of the plot recounts Spamton's history, especially during his years as BIG SHOT, but with added characters, new conflicts, and greatly expanded world-building based on personal interpretations, headcanons, scrapped official conceptart/ideas from Toby, and other speculative ideas I've had about the lore since playing Chapter 2, but with the intention of following many of the same major story beats and cast as canon.
Since Spamton is a character that gradually falls into madness, the story is presented in a way that focuses on how Spamton's unprecedented success and downfall completely destroy his sense of self and reality. There are other horror elements as well, most notably body horror concerning his puppetfication.
The subtitle of "LoveLetter" denotes many things (some I can't get into because it's a spoiler), but what it primarily refers to is the love letter that the lead female character, a parasocial White Addison named Thetalan, tries to give him during his BIG SHOT era. However, he refuses to read or open it because the phone benefactor warns him that she is a danger to his livelihood and success. Yet, Thetalan appears again and again, crossing paths with him so frequently that it fills him with maddening paranoia and delusions.
The exchange of letters is a recurring central theme in this AU, especially regarding Spamton's role as a mailman during his last years as an Addison, right before he receives his fateful call.
Anyway, I hope that helps. I plan to write this entire thing out at some point. Feel free to ask me more questions!
Context:
In my AU. LoveLetter, Spamton grew up aspiring to become someone important long before he knew about what his role as an Addison would really pertain, so he played around with a printer and a program as a child, creating "business" cards out of one of the photos his parents paid to have taken of him by a traveling photographer from Cyber City.
He made many copies of these and passed them around the community he lived in within Cyber Fields, much to the amusement of the adults. When he moved to Cyber City, he brought along a lot of things and forgot he had slipped the copies of these into one of the boxes, rediscovering them years later when he reorganized his luxury flat at Queen's Mansion.
Amused, Spamton slipped the copies he had into his suitcase before taking one of his scheduled trips to TV World and decided to show them to his trusty partner...
😒
People who constantly complain publicly about other people's fan interpretations, headcanons, AUs, etc. are the most insufferable and ostentatious people in any fandom. So many of these same people, ironically, hate it when other people judge them for the exact same $(%^ they judge other people for. I've even seen the same type of people have meltdowns on their socials just because someone disagrees with their interpretations, leading to a string of reblogs or retweets of them arguing with people for daring to engage differently with content/media they aren't even the original creators of.
The worst of these fun-suckers claim to not hold any contempt for different thoughts and opinions over the given subject matter they are complaining about, yet by the very nature of them complaining loudly to a public audience over the topic, one can only infer the exact opposite. It's childish public displays like this that take the fun out of interacting with others in fandoms.
I usually scroll and ignore stuff I don't like or find disgusting in general. I don't block people unless they have serious personal issues with me because I find it unnecessary, but thanks to terrible algorithms or people reposting/reblogging these kinds of posts, I am subjected to seeing this crap anyway. I think it's generally unwise to encourage this kind of behavior, even if you may agree with their takes or POVs. It's okay to express opinions and have meaningful discourse, but people who complain REPEATEDLY in public are not looking for discussion; they want their own thoughts to be validated by an audience, often in an attempt to appear as the "superior" fan who believes they understand the media/content better than others.
Seriously, why do other fans support this behavior? Stop feeding into people's egos and let people have fun.
Inspired by THIS post on Twitter.
I liked the idea of alternative winter attire, so rather than draw both of them in their usual clothes, I decided to go with these instead. Tenna probably rented the castle, or maybe it's just an elaborate prop? LOL

what happened to thetalan? wasn’t she central to that love letter au thing?
Here she is!
Yes, she is still relevant and important to the plot and overall AU. I have WIP images with her and Spamton, but I'll work on them once I'm done with Spamtober prompts. I need to update her character sheet because it's a little outdated (her design has some slight updates, mostly to the way I draw her hair and the removal of her nose mole, given the fact I keep forgetting to draw it anyway lol).
Most of the stuff involving her is extremely spoilery, so it's a little too early for me to share most of the lore I have of her... But I will explain a little.
Thetalan (aka Theta) is a White Addison that haunts Spamton's life as a "thing" that fascinates and disturbs him (more so the latter). He tries to run from her (literally in some instances), yet she always seems to find a way back into his life, usually as an employee of one of his business partners or by being in the same vicinity as him. Though she is kind, friendly, and an adoring fan, she sparks feelings of intense existential dread within Spamton.
Addisons typically have inherent traits and specializations that assure them some form of employment to match, but Spamton is not like the others. He has no specializations or set talents built into him, and his lack of these is why he struggles to find meaningful and gainful work as an Addison. This is the nature or curse, if you will, of being a White Addison.
However... The voice on the phone tells him that what Spamton lacks is exactly what it is looking for, an Addison unbound by "conditions" and capable of "limitless potential." The idea of being special in this way drives him to succeed and listen to anything the voice wants from him.
Years before receiving the fated call, Spamton hears briefly about another White Addison being in Cyber City, but nothing good or exceptional about them. For as far as he was concerned, at the time, that other White Addison is mediocre and unable to compare to someone fated for greatness like him. He turns this unseen person into a "rival" that he measures himself against, even if he never interacts with them, based solely on the fact that they are also a White Addison.
Spamton inevitably becomes BIG SHOT and ascends from being an Addison into his own category of Darkner, then Theta appears in his life and keeps appearing despite his best efforts to avoid her. His "rival" is now no longer a faceless nobody but a woman who gazes upon him with dark, unthreatening eyes. The voice on the phone tells him not to trust her, for she will bring his ruin if their paths cross too closely.
His mind slowly but surely slips into paranoia, her presence infecting his dreams and poisoning his subconscious. Why does she also exist? Why does she keep appearing in his life NOW that he's BIG and not when he was still just another Addison? The phone reassures him that she is no threat to him as long as he listens to its guidance and keeps her at a distance, but part of him fears she will snatch away his success and drag him back to mediocrity, for if he has "limitless potential," then does she not as well?
Spamton dares not suggest it, for the thought of the phone entity leaving him for her is not a possibility he wishes to entertain.
I'll leave it there for now.
