Reddit post: Hey I'm thinking about pursuing this career does anyone have any advice for my path?
Comments: This job is hell my life is hell don't do it. I wake up every morning for work and hold a gun to my head while doing deep breathing exercises. Find a time machine and go back to 1979 if you even want a chance of getting a position. Prepare to move 5000 miles away. You will be paid one penny per hour for the first 15 years and your days will be 12 hours long at minimum. Being dead is better than doing this profession

Hello there. Guess how much money I made last year? $28. I’m an investment banking analyst at a boutique firm, in M&A. I have my undergrad from the University of Chicago, one of the top schools in the country. With bonuses, sometimes I make even more. Are you jealous of that? Most people on Tumblr are usually jobless or they decided to major in the humanities and are poor.
$28?
There is something sooo deeply American going on with Seattle Children’s Hospital that I think would brick the minds of everyone outside of the United States.
The CHILDRENS hospital has to restrict helipad landings because of noise complaints from the wealthy home owners living next to it. Only the most urgent patients can land directly at the hospital. While the other kids have to land a mile away and are taken to the hospital via ambulance. Which is an unnecessary risk to the child’s life and also makes the families pay for the helicopter AND ambulance.
The hospital says some limits on helipad access add pressure when children need lifesaving care.
Apparently this has been going on for decades and is only getting traction because a pilot complained on Twitter.
wearing my steampunk cosplay to parent teacher night
Hitting the absinthe a little too hard and bragging to a particularly effeminate single father about "my dirigible." Get behind the control module of my steam-driven automocarriage, pulling out into traffic. Instantly t-boned by a Dodge charger doing 50 in a school zone. Neck pulverized like a tube of Pringles.
After all the romancing is done, celebrate Valentine’s weekend the Old Spice way with free Xbox Gold and this avatar.
