GOOOOD evening ladies and gentlemen! I thought it was about time I finally make a pinned post! Welcome to my humble blog that will contain primarily countryhumans, politics, centricide and adjacent things.

All math jokes aside (for now), we're generally first taught to "solve" problems in math and I think that may be where math loses a lot of people because the intuition doesn't come easily. It's plug and chug and input and output and you don't really get to "understand" the nature of it.
As you continue (if you should choose to do so) math becomes more abstract because it's not necessarily about plugging and chugging and solving (although yes you do need to solve it lmao). It's more about how to visualize and see the "nature" of the problem, how to see the entire system as a whole. This is where representation and structure start to matter because now it's about perspective. Understanding the system through different lenses.
You intentionally have to choose a space, coordinate system, etc. to "uncover" the structure because different representations illustrate and emphasize different properties.
We must be intentional with how we choose to "manipulate" the system because we're not just trying to "solve" something we're trying to understand what's actually happening. And this is where you have to be patient because the math might not come out clean or sometimes it doesn't work out on the first try etc. It might be a bit frustrating but math requires patience because it reveals itself slowly.
And for me personally this is where I find the beauty in math.
Some might not have the patience and might get frustrated because what they tried didn't work out or it becomes too complicated or simply because it just takes too long (I know I still get frustrated as well). But if you look at math as a relationship you'd understand how patience and being intentional and looking at different perspectives is so valuable.
Understanding anything deeply whether it's math people relationships etc requires patience intention and openness. And it's in that understanding that makes it beautiful.
Heck to take it one step further I argue it's in the endurance and slowness that you start to fall in love with things. I believe this is why modern day hustle culture and grind and all that overlooks slowness because it wants what is quick hitting and dopamine inducing only to feel unresolved and on the search of "whats next" rather than staying long enough to uncover "whats deeper".
Sometimes love is just staying.

I’d like to add this photo I took last night in Victoria of the statue of Captain Cook. Though I myself am not indigenous, I 100% agree that these murderers, kidnappers and rapists shouldn’t have huge statues and plaques that decorate them and say how “great” they were.
Here’s another photo of the legislative assembly from yesterday. Later on there were more items, candles and signs at the memorial, as well as a big poster with 1505 painted on it but I didn’t get a picture
People need to see this. Not just quickly glance at the photos and keep on scrolling. They need to see this.

I had seen the first picture of the church, but not the second.
I went to a “Cancel Canada Day” event and burst into tears - not because I was surprised to learn of the unmarked graves (survivors told us they were there. Our government pushed it aside, and we let them), but because seeing all the people gathered in mourning drove it home: They. Were. Children.
This is my country’s legacy - and it’s not history. The last schools closed during my lifetime. My Father went to school with students who lived at the local residential school, after it was changed to a boarding house (read: holding centre) for indigenous youth who went to local schools.
They were all children, injured, abused, and killed in my country’s attempt to erase them. I want the world to see this and hold the state accountable to *active* reconciliation> I mean we could at least truly adopt UNDRIP in action instead of words for god’s sake.

this is the memorial at the vancouver art gallery. 215+ pairs of children’s shoes (as well as stuffed toys and flowers) cover the steps…
If I see Christians being offended by any protest like this, you’re blocked. I need you to sit the fuck down. There is not a single apology the Church or any single Christian can say that will undo the massive harm our ancestors have done to black and indigenous people. Unmarked graves of hundreds of children who will likely never be named were discarded and forgotten like garbage. How “Christian” was it to kill them, whether through abuse or pure negligence? How “pro-life” was it? How loving was it to rip indigenous children from their families and communities in order to “beat the native” out of them, figuratively or literally and killing them and leaving their bones to be forgotten about, separated from their people? I want more of these protests, not that any indigenous person needs my permission. I need the whole of the Catholic Church to be humbled into the dirt for this and make honest and constant reparations to the indigenous communities our ancestors terrorized and murdered and what we perpetuate through either unconscious bias or blatant malicious bigotry. And for all the Matt Walsh’s out there who will shrug their shoulders at this, if the Church does disappear, it will be because of YOU.

The game treats the Miis like they’re real people and makes zero mention ever that they are not, and only ever refers to them and their POV as if they are real and you are their caretaker! While playing this honestly messed with my head pretty badly at times and made me worry a lot on if I was hurting real people/not doing enough for real people while I was playing!
I cannot imagine how much worse this would be for someone who’s unmedicated, non-dormant, or experiencing breakthrough symptoms! Do please be careful and PLEASE remember to have a way to reality check yourself while playing the game!!!

Before anyone gets on my case yes I recognize that Cuba is currently being strangled by the USA and the people are suffering. I don’t understand what the confusion is. Socialism has specific characteristics + is an economic mode of production that makes it socialism. Cuba, China, DPRK, Laos, and Vietnam no longer or were never socialist to begin with. It’s not a difficult concept to understand as they either to put it simply allowed for the existence of private property, failed to merge the rural and the urban, or/and introduced capitalism back into the economy (as was the case in China with SwCC + Deng). Socialist *elements* can exist within a nation but these elements must not be confused for being actually socialist

looked up russians vs japanese piracy twt beef and its worse than i thought😭 it all started with japanese users being mad at discovering there's all those unofficial russian manga reading sites. russians tell them that there's not much licensed manga in russia to consume legally in the first place. japanese say its your problem, you should then go to japan and buy it legally. russians obviously go ??? it's crazy expensive to fly to japan plus we're sanctioned and often can't purchase foreign things with our money. japanese go full russophobia and say ahhh you evil aggressors deserve it for war. russians answer that even before the war this wouldn't be a solution. then brazilians join russians to fight on the side of piracy and started gotcha japanese with their war crimes and xenophobia. then other japanese users joined on the side of piracy and said anti-piracy japanese are hypocrites because its common in japan to listen to pirated western music. i guess this made japanese anti-piracy people even madder and they went all in saying crazy stuff like comparing piracy to rape. the more hilarious example was one japanese user trying to gotcha russians by threatening to pirate and read... dostoevsky🤣 sums up their level of ignorance regarding this whole topic.
