Sorry I've been AWOL (for the millionth time). There's been so much going on here that I just haven't been able to focus on anything. Mom's husband passed away, so I moved back to help out with legal things and to sort through his possessions for the will reading.

I'm just tired and stressed out. Mom can't leave the house without throwing up and she cries randomly. My sister and her family insist on being here constantly, and her four kids are driving mom and I both insane. It's just constant noise and tension. I keep wanting to take it out in RP, but every time I log into an account I just sit there staring for a while before shutting the computer off.

I'll be back, but it will take a while. There's still a lot to do.

“Sometimes you wake up in the middle of the night and think about your life. Your crap job, your crap apartment, crap boyfriends, and a crap dad you've never met but you're sure he's crap for leaving you and your mom behind. You just want things to change. To be better. To be different.”

            Six and a half months ago, Darcy Lewis was attacked. She can't remember anything about her attackers. All she remembered was that it had happened on her way home from a closing shift at bar near her apartment. On her way to work the next evening, four black vans blocked off the street and corralled her into the back of one of the vans, and in a shockingly stereotypical move they'd shoved a bag over her head.

            She woke up in the infirmary on the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier, strapped to one of the hospital beds with Agent Coulson and Dr. Bruce Banner standing over her. She tried to ask what the hell was going on, but her vision blurred and she passed out again. Sedatives. The next time she'd wake up, she'd be back in her apartment, in her own bed, with nothing left but blurred memories and a bruised pinprick from an I.V. drip.

            The same pattern would repeat itself every week or so for six solid months. No one will tell her what is going on. No one will tell her what happened to her that first night, or what happens to her when she sleeps.

            Then again...when has S.H.I.E.L.D. ever been very forthcoming with the truth?

"You aren't the boss of me." Cue the childish sticking out of her tongue, which at it's heart was mostly just her way of trying to keep light-hearted; not an easy feat when you've been repeatedly getting kidnapped by the same people for months.
