i keep making these big billowy rainbow scarves because i keep hoping that the amount of yarn i have at the end of the project will be less than what i started with, but i keep having enough left over to make more mismatchy projects. no way am i allowing new yarn into my home before late 2027 at the earliest. this is bonkers. are you seeing this? i sat on my ass and worked on this for hours today while i listened to a podcast series titled "how the dilbert guy lost his mind" (behind the bastards, highly recommend) and forgot to eat

this is an interesting point in the project (finished, washed, pinned out and drying) to think "jeez louise what ugly colors and poor planning" but like. fuck, dude. look at it. i really biffed this one. i think i mostly don't like the wedge with the sunsetty colors. the vivid oranges look wack next to the 1970s rumpus-room vibes of the other three. maybe i'll feel better about it in the morning. i'm proud of the craftsmanship and the construction, and really it's a nice piece overall, i just hate the colors. i was going for Ugly Chic but there is nothing chic about this... this thing
