if you take an anime OP and write completely original lyrics for it, but make those new lyrics related directly to a specific fanfiction you've read, then make an UTAU sing those lyrics and mix it together with the original OP's instrumental, how many layers deep are you into a filk song?
i am finagling the last few phonemes because i just had to overachieve by pushing a japanese voicebank to its limits (making it sing english words with an accent) and some consonants do NOT want to be pronounced.
my brain is now giving me a mental amv and that's just. here.
putting the final word giving me trouble through the wringer until it's pronounced well enough to be understood as the right word and channeling my inner phantom of the opera

this will not make sense if you haven't read "what darkness most fears" so i highly recommend reading that if you think you can handle it; it is very spooky and very fun. this multilevel filk song or whatever it is i just made also low-key spoils the entire thing and i definitely recommend going into the fic blind if possible. for the Vibes. you can do whichever order you want though, that's just how i'd do it. if it helps any, i mostly managed to keep each of the three chapters to roughly one verse/chorus combo each, more or less.
tbh i really wanna try my hands at that AMV idea in my brain (it would visually depict the storyline in conjunction with the lyrics) but i figure, it's halloween, the musical part is done, i can share this bit for now :)

yuzu is a japanese synth released on 30 sep 2023, though her character birthday is mar 8. she is a tasteloid utau, voiced by one "Bubble", and designed by a competition winner, tish(t_ish_). yuzus sketch was done by guillotama, and lineart by spectrabund. yuzus vb is private, however usts can be submitted on the tasteloid website for her.

Here's my design for Yuzu! I mainly used Fairy Kei as inspiration when coming up with her design (and maybe a bit of Sailor Moon). I've never really participated in any contests before, let alone a design one, so I figured why not go for it?
The next Tasteloid character has been revealed! She's voiced by an 8 year old girl, and she'll be releasing sometime in the coming months.
