I watched the ending of exu Divergence again and fucking sobbed

Rewatching Calamity, Downfall, and Divergence have really put into perspective how smart it was to run those series. Like, we wanted to see them anyway, but if you think about how long it takes to build a world and a campaign and how precious so much of the fandom is with Exandria... having Aabria come in to run EXU Prime and then Brennan to come in and run three prequel series with all of the main, original players, having everyone get used to other hands in Exandria, but mostly, having people get used to Brennan who were not used to Brennan and then having Brennan help usher in the final story in Exandria with Matt at the table, showing Matt that respect and appreciation and love...

Yeah. I have a point. I think it's vaguely there lol. I'm still emotional from the end of Divergence. I feel like they had to know at the time of Divergence that Brennan would be running a campaign for them and it gave us an idea of how he interacts as a GM with the entire core cast plus a majority of the new, additional table members. It was just brilliant all around.

I finally put my finger on what it was about molly’s comment to caleb at the end of ep5 that made it echo so loud, because it had the air of a callback even though this conversation was definitely a divergence from the actualplay

‘cause here’s the thing—it was a taliesin line at the table, but it wasn’t molly who said it!
