“Apparently it was seeing as you are back to disobeying the doctor’s orders...” Honestly, it was Souji that made him wonder if it was worth it coming back. He had enjoyed his trip home to Osaka after the escapades with this man. “Please tell me you have been taking your medication at least, Okita-san.’
“My apologies...I was unaware of how long my trip would be.”

“Ah, e-excuse me?” Her comment was unexpected enough to be impromptu for him, his eyes widening as he was doing exactly what people laughed at him for, growing flustered over the simplest of things. She meant ‘like’ as in platonically, yes? Certainly that had to be the case since they had only just met.

“I am, but I am sorry to gain your concern...” Did he really look that ill? He had a bit of a cold, but he did not see a reason to worry too much about it; he was too busy to be brought down by a case of the sniffles, after all. San’nan had been keeping him on the go between classes with the new changes to the nurse’s office. Besides that, he had taken the proper medication and was not contagious...-- “I really am alright. However, is there something you needed? Most do not stop in the office unless they are not feeling well.”

“I am. It seems that Okita-san thought it funny to soak me the moment I walked out of the infirmary.” And though he kept his tone even and calm, it was apparent that he was fuming. Now he had to change. The captain was aware of how that threw his tight schedule off. “Please excuse me while i get a fresh set of clothes--have we been assigned work?”

“So I see.” However, it was quite obvious that the man did not, his brows still pulled long with his lips into a look of confusion. How did they manage to spill this water so far along the hall? “If you need help cleaning I can be of assistance.”
“Nope, you are not in a position that I care about. ”
And with that he continues training.
“...so be it.” Was his simple reply to the captain as he was walking off. He kept himself from internally muttering anything simply because he knew how to win this battle. It was playing dirty, but certainly worth it if he could avoid drama with the captain.
Gone for a few minutes, he soon had Kondou at his side, the man obviously worried about the captain being out in this weather. He might not know of Souji’s actual condition, but he was paternal enough to know that whatever his illness was, he didn’t need to remain outside. The man watched as the Commander was coddling Souji gently, feeling his forehead and requesting that he rest with his usual, worried trailing and pausing of his voice.
“Bite me.”
“Okita-san.” His voice became more cross. “Return to your room. This is my last warning to you.”
“You are the cause of all my fatigue.”
“As you are mine.” He sighed, stepping off the porch to reach him. “Please return to your bed, Okita-san. I will not ask politely again.”
Everything was a blur the spy was noticing as he had attempted to find observations that would allow himself to detour his mind from the pain that he was in. However, his attempts at being preoccupied and keen were not as comforting or useful as he had expected; he had lost too much blood for his eyes to be trusted. Even his feet failed him, his steps being forced to correct themselves whenever he heard the subtlest of dragging beneath him. He could not let himself slow down...not when he had such pertinent info.
Holding his hand tightly to his torso, he was allowing the fingers to twitch with pain and loosen their grip from time to time as a way to cope with the pain he was in without stopping. He has not been impaled, but the wound on his side would not be satisfied with only some bandages over it. His uniform, both the layer on the inside and outside, were soaked through, his steps growing clumsier by the moment to prove the severity of it. Only a few more feet to the compound and he would be safe...
Noticing someone out of the corner of his eye, he was stumbling over the threshold, his brows furrowing to show the discomfort his lips could not at the moment. But his poor footing had gotten their attention at least.
“...inform fukuchou that I have returned...with the information he requires...”
“The only thing agitating me is you.”
Continues to train.
“Anyways I took a cat nap.”
“You know as well as I do napping does nothing more than alleviate your fatigue. You need proper rest to heal.” Perhaps he would require Hijikata or Kondou’s assistance in making the man rest. He had no patience to argue with him today.
Is doing everything except laying down and resting.
And just when I thought I could rest...
“Okita-san. I do hope you are not agitating your condition as I asked you not to before leaving.”
Brushes the dust off his desk.
I got alot done today! but not I need to stop procrastinating and get to doing my essay now before my bio party!!

”I took my medicine early in the morning, you don’t need to worry about that” Because Hajime always reminded him, and watched him take his medicine as he woke up. He crossed arms and sighed, he had forgotten completely of the check up. And the worst of everything was that Yamazaki was the one to remind him of that. "Yeah, I do. And I do need to be worried with you in the room spying my body?" Souji smirked.
...it was strange...how domesticated he had seemed recently. Getting Okita to take his medicine willingly or on the correct schedule was like pulling out teeth before, and yet now he was saying with such ease that it had already been taken care of. He wasn’t going to say that Souji had a change of heart all on his own, since nobody changed on their own and he doubted Souji would, but he had been noticing Hajime being around more often. Perhaps that was it?
--Yamazaki hadn’t noticed off deep in thought he had became in the matter until the captain was speaking up again, a dramatic sigh snapping him back. At least the man’s mouth had yet to change, if one could find that comforting.
“I can assure you that I have no interest in your body besides when it comes tohealth.” He sighed. Stepping farther into the room, he was whipping a hand. “Please pull your top down so that i can start your physical.”
