Phoebe sighed. Normally, she would but up a hell of a fight about this considering it did exactly what she always avoided; made her look vulnerable. But this was Tate and she was way, way too tired to argue with him right now. So she reached down, pulled the lever that allowed her seat to recline, and then took the jacket from him, making it into a makeshift blanket over her. “Thank you,” she murmured.
"You're welcome." He spoke softly as he looked over to see her getting comfortable. She was the most stubborn person that he had ever met in his life and he was just glad that she was finally listening to him. The girl looked exhausted and even though he didn't want to know why she was exhausted, he still cared about her. Tate stayed quiet the entire drive for fear of waking the girl up. They finally reached his home after about thirty minutes since he was driving slower now and he put the car in park, shut it off and went over to her side. "Phoebe, we're here." He spoke quietly as he opened her door and leaned down to wake her up.
Anybody in for skipping school Monday so that we can have a party tomorrow night? Fuck, we could go to school wasted for all I care.
So I hear there’s a party tomorrow. Or was it tonight? It’d be a total shame if I missed it and I’m sure you’d all be just devastated, too.
Tonight or tomorrow, babe. We wouldn't plan one knowing that you couldn't make it, trust me.
I got waaay too fucking high last night… Anyone care to join me tonight?
That sounds fucking awesome. I'm trying to have a party tonight or tomorrow, you should bring some to it.

Zenon is on.
I love that movie.
"Hmm?" she glanced over at him, shaking her head a bit to keep herself awake. "Oh, no it’s okay. I don’t want you to freeze your ass off, I’ll be good." Phoebe’s eyes drifted to the window, but the passing colors and buildings made her eyes feel heavier than they had already, so she brought her attention back to Tate. "I can wait," she said, stubbornly.
Tate reached down and turned the heat up as high as it would. "Here, lean your seat back. It's to the right of you on the side. You look exhausted. I'll wake you up when you get to my house. Please." The boy insisted as he took one hand off the week and got one arm out of his jacket. He then placed it back on the wheel as he took the other hand off and finished getting his jacket off. "Take this and cover up." The boy said handing her the jacket.
"You don’t have to worry about me," she mumbled from the passenger’s seat. She crossed her arms over herself, still feeling a little chilled and very tired. It wasn’t like she’d slept yet that night and she was properly exhausted. Yawning, she shrugged. "If you don’t care, can I stay with you? I’m too tired to go all the way home."
"i know that I don't have to, but that still doesn't stop me." Tate looked over at the girl and cocked his eyebrow. "You want this jacket, love?" He asked looking back to the road and dimming his headlights. "Yeah, you can definitely come over." He smiled softly at her yawn and looked back over at her. "You can sleep until we get there if you want."
She shrugged as she sat down, waiting for him to get in at the other side of the car before answering. “Just under some of my stuff. Doesn’t matter, I got them.” Phoebe didn’t want to tell him she’d found them under her pants on the floor; that wouldn’t go well at all. “Thanks for coming.”
Tate nodded when she said that she just found them under some stuff. He didn't really ask anymore about it because that wasn't really his concern. "You don't have to thank me. I'm just glad to know that you're okay. I get a little scared when you don't know where you're at." He said pulling out of the driveway and heading back to his house. "Are you spending the night with me or did you want to go home?"
Phoebe shook her head, a small grin forming as she walked up to him and accepted the hug gratefully. “Yeah, yeah, I know,” she said. Honestly, she thought he was worrying himself over nothing. She’d been doing this for years and it had gone just fine. “I did. Finally,” she said, holding them up and shaking them as she followed him to the car.
"Where did you find them at?" Tate asked as he led the girl over to the passenger's side and opened the door for her. "After you." The boy said softly as he waited for her to climb in and shut the door. He was happy that she was okay and nothing else matter. Tate made his way over to his side and quickly got it, fastened his seat belt and started the car.
Once she’d finally managed to get her keys and put her clothes back on, suddenly really wishing she’d brought a thicker jacket with her, she slipped out the door of the dark bedroom, banging her knee on a desk again as she did so. “Fucking ouch,” she whispered as she slipped outside, seeing both Tate and his car were already there and walking up to him.
Tate sighed softly when he saw the girl walk up to him. "I'm going to just shake you one of these days. I hope you know that." He said laughing lightly and pulling the girl into a hug. The fact that she just had sex didn't matter to him because he was just glad that she was okay. "Find your keys?" He asked as he pulled away and started walking to his car.
Phoebe continued to search around her for her keys, lifting up what she found to be her pants on the floor and looking under them. Once her phone buzzed, she read the message and sent Tate one back with the directions to where she was right now. Feeling around under where she’d found her clothes, she felt a lump on the ground. Finally.
Tate looked at the directions and thought for a minute before turning his car on and heading to where the girl was. He didn't want to speed in this weather, but he drove as fast as he could to get to the girl. It took him only about twenty minutes to finally make it to the house. He looked at her description of the house in his text and got out of the car slowly walking up to the house and looking around for the girl.
Okay, I can do that. See you soon?
"See you soon." The boy didn't waste any time getting dressed and finding his car keys. The idea of Phoebe being somewhere where she didn't know anybody worried him. He hated when she did this and he wanted to get her as soon as possible. He took his phone out and quickly texting her to ask for directions as he made his way outside to his car.
Okay, deal. I’ll call you now. And find my keys. And try not to wake this dude up.
You can just text me until you find your keys.
And you’re my best friend, which is why it matters. Okay, I can call you. And don’t punch anyone, we don’t need that right now. It wouldn’t help the calm thing we’re going for.
Okay. Call me and give me directions, alright? I won't punch anybody unless they deserve it. I promise.
It kinda does. Whoever does it more does more damage. And most of it should go to me, you know that. No, no, you definitely do not have to come in here and look. I really really know you don’t want to do that. If you want to come get me, I’ll meet you outside.
I don't care if you do more damage, you're my best friend. I don't want to see the guy cause I'll want to punch him, but can you call me while I drive there so that I know you're alright?
