We took Willow on a steam train yesterday as her birthday treat. She's a pretty big train fan and when we reached the platform and she saw the steam train for the first time, her face lit up and her mouth opened in amazement. I spent so many months wondering what we could do for her 2nd birthday, worrying a bit to be honest about making sure it was 'good enough' by the (rather unattainable) expectations set out by social media. Then I decided I didn't need to do a anything 'current' or themed, I just needed to make my little girl happy. So we took our train mad little girl on her very first steam train with family and friends, had a lovely lunch (where I had an epic all day breakfast) and enjoyed an afternoon making Willow one very, very happy little girl.
