Micah smiled at the blonde girl. She looked adorable today and he felt more guilt surge through him. Hugging her he held onto her hand and walked out to the beach with her. He swung her hand like those cheesy couples did in movie when walking along the beach. “I know that I have been acting weird lately, and I want to apologize.” He swallowed and turned towards her. “I still like you, a lot and the feelings are scaring me so I distanced myself slightly.” He squeezed her hand lightly. “I want us to be more than just friends with benefits Tatum. I want to be your boyfriend.” He mentally kicked himself in the head. He sounded stupid.

He was holding her hand so that had to be a good sign, right? Tatum hoped so. Though they had kissed and made out only to have him go all stand offish, so she really didn't know. Boys were hard to read, this boy in particular. There were some nerves there as he started to speak, wondering if this was the "You're a fun girl, but-" type speech coming. To her surprise though, it wasn't that at all. A smile tugged the corners of her lips and she squeezed his hand back firmly, stepping into his personal space to prop up on tip toes - her arms going around the back of his neck as she leaned in and kissed him chastely. "I'd really like that, Micah." she replied softly, looking up at him from beneath her lashes.

Micah was feeling bad because of homecoming and not dancing with Tarum. He even felt terrible about not already committing to her. He wanted her to feel special and not just have this confusing friendship, a friends with benefits type of thing. He quickly threw on some clothes and cleaned himself up before heading down to the lobby waiting for the blonde, nervous.

Tatum had no clue what Micah had to ask her. Truth of the matter was, she was all kinds of confused by the boy. She knew he liked her at least enough to kiss and make out with, he'd asked her to homecoming and then ended up acting like if he didn't keep leaning against a back wall that it would fall down. They hadn't really seen each other since that night, other than passing in the halls and exchanging pleasantries. Tatum was beginning to think maybe he did regret breaking up his relationship with Destiny for feelings that were most likely fleeting. She wasn't mad, she had no reason to be, it wasn't like they'd made any promises or anything. She was used to being the flavor of the week, she knew she wasn't anything special. 

Pushing her homework aside, Tatum shut the lid to her laptop and pushed away from her desk as she removed her earbuds and placed them on top of the closed computer. She was still dressed in what she'd worn to classes today, so she just slipped on a pair of Uggs and a hoodie since it was a little windy and cool today and they were heading to the beach where it would be even more chilly. Grabbing her keys, cellphone and purse, Tatum left her dorm room and headed down to the lobby to meet up with Micah. The tall brunette was already there, looking exceptionally awkward today, but still cute. The blonde girl made her way over to him, smiling a bit nervously - wondering if this was going to be the "Let's just be friends again" speech. "Hey," she greeted him, moving in for a hug.

That’s very true. I say we meet up in the lobby and head down to the beach in ten. :)
