Welcome to my rather silly, but good intended idea. Fandom spaces can be tricky, and the loudest voices are often the cruelest. While I believe it's extremely important to acknowledge issues and spread awareness about potentially harmful individuals, it is also important to spread positivity and encourage others.

We all know likes, shares, and comments go a long way. That is exactly what we need to continue to do to show our support. But sometimes we would like to scream into the void about our favorite artist, fic writer, or friend. Be aware of the common tactics that commissions scammers use when cold messaging you. Often they will try to guilt you into paying for their cheapest service, which risks:

- Nothing being made at all (they ghost)

- Refund scams

- AI slop delivered

I cannot afford commissions and if I could I would be looking at artists I already know and/or artists using legitimate platforms like VGen.

And of course I now expect more cold messages like this because I used the C word in a post, but it is what it is. Be aware, keep yourselves safe, and don't get guilted into paying someone for something you were never asking for in the first place. If they already started work without payment or agreement, that's their problem not yours.

Reccer says: I SQUEALED while reading this. OUT LOUD!! Such good dynamics between the two, and woof was the smut good 🫣🥵🫣 Also, it's only two chapters. Even though it's absolutely mutual pining, it's nice to have such a quick payoff.

Rugan backstory! Rugan's old friend/Zhent co-conspirator converted to worship Sune, and that old friend's niece is also a cleric at the temple just outside Baldur's Gate. Rolan knows she's beautiful, but turns out she thinks he's not too bad looking himself. Begins just before the events of BG3, and chronicles their pining for each other.

Reccer says: This story is, alas, likely unfinished forever, but I love both Rugan and Cora and how they are together. It's got great lore and banter. I also really like how they tell the story through short vignettes as they get to know one another over the course of the year. The first chapter felt like a one-shot, so getting another chapter was a fun bonus (even though I'm sad it likely won't get an ending).

Gale has been nominated for a position in local politics he doesn't want. He fake dates Astarion for a scandal. But they love each other and neither realises the other does until it makes the papers.

The Way of the Wanderer by WeepingDawn (70404, Explicit) Content Notes: None Pairings: Rolan/Tav, Brief Halsin/Tav

A bard/ethnographer named Isotta meddles in Rolan's life so often on her way to saving her own skin that he's forced to fall in love with her. Then she rejects him for painfully noble and self-sacrificing reasons, and he's forced to wait for her to realize how foolish she's been. It begins during BG3 but is just now transitioning to post-game events (and a new main storyline).

Reccer says: I really love the way weepingdawn captures the tone/dialogue/feelings of the existing BG3 characters. While Isotta is an original character, the others feel so in keeping with the game that it's easy to believe this fic fits squarely in between the lines of the story I already love so much. I can hear the voice actors reading their lines in my head while I read! The fic is also framed as if Rolan and Isotta are writing this story themselves, and Volo stole the manuscript and published it. It's a delightful way to tell the story, and there's tons of fun banter between Isotta and Rolan in quippy author's/editor's notes throughout each chapter and in the endnotes. Even though they won't get together for awhile, the flirty notes and allusions to their relationship make the slow burn more bearable.

Spell It Our For Me by Gavorche_san (8290, Mature) Content Notes: None Pairings: Gale/OC

Gale returns home to Waterdeep and begins courting an old friend who is Very Much Oblivious.

Reccer says: The prose in this is absolutely exceptional. It manages to feel distinct from the game but also very much a loving homage to it!
