Currently obsessed with the Simon Snow trilogy and couldnāt help but doodle a BUNCH of Simons and Bazes. This batch is based on Carry On, the first book in the series :)
not only am i chilled out and ready to share today but im FIRST and im gonna tag so many people that its going under a cut at the end lmfao.
this unedited bit is from something new and little that will probably go out around EGF. its a lot, because i think as a unit it is very funny, but also it can make up for what i havent been sharing lately lol. even steven.
Americaās not so bad, really. And to be fair to Omaha, I had fun the first time I was here too. (Until the vampires.) (But even that was kind of hot. Figuratively, but also literally. Baz was throwing flames.)
After the last few days, Iām officially ready to establish myself as an Omaha-loving person. After all, itās the birthplace of Love. (Shepard Love). Weāre on the way home from a bonfire party held by a childhood friend of Shepās, and I feel warmed through. From the dancing and the good food and the beer. Mostly from the beer, probably. Not even Bazās cool skin could bring my temperature down right now. I feel like I might go off, but in a good way. (āGo off!ā Shepardās friend had shouted at me while I was dancing earlier. Baz said she was probably making fun of me, but thatās fine. It was fun. It made me laugh. I like dancing.)
I especially like it when Baz gets tipsy enough to dance with me, like he did tonight. He started by forcing me to waltz along to a Drake song, proper hand holding and proper steps that I mucked up by making us giggle too much. It wasnāt long before I gave up, pulling him against me and moving our hips to the rhythm the way it was intended. Iām grateful it was a snogging type of party. Thereās nothing more awkward than being the couple that snogs when no one else is snogging. (I dare anyone to not be the person that snogs their boyfriend at inappropriate times when your boyfriend looks like Baz.) But everyone was snogging. Everyone was trashed. And I mean everyone ā thatās how weāve ended up with Penny, who doesnāt drink and barely drives, nervous behind the wheel of Shepardās friendās minivan, which is full of entirely too many people.
Thatās how Iāve ended up in the trunk, half in Bazās lap. Penny hooks her phone up to the aux and blasts One Direction.
āItās the only way Iāll be able to focus,ā she yells to us all. Nobody complains. Sheās our savior tonight. Iām so thankful for her and her fierce determination and her comforting sober-ness. She deserves to be pampered tomorrow. Iām going to take her to WalMart. She loves a superstore ā the variety, the culture, the Subway. Iām going to make Baz come too, so she can observe Baz in a WalMart again. One of lifeās many joys.

iām having a few incoherent thoughts about how both simon and bazās love language is acts of service and about how much these acts are tied with the violence they were given when younger like simonās love is destructive he kills things for baz he hurts things for baz amd thatās how he shows it bc thatās what he thought of love because of the mage and how the mage wanted him to destroy everything and how bazās love is self destructive he went through everything in america without complaining once and thatās how he shows it bc he always had destruct himself (both as a vampire and queer person) in order for the ppl on his life to love him
i thought a bit more abt baz and his love form i mean all his fantasies regarding simon when he was younger were self destructive like the biggest act of love simon could show baz was killing him and how bazās biggest act of love he could show his mother was him killing himself bc he was a vampire and she would never love him like that and he wanted her to love him and how he would rather be hungry than eat in front of his family bc of his fangs and he wanted his family to love him and they would never love him if they saw heās a vampire and how like the first thing he thought after finding out he didnāt need to kill to have blood and that he could retract his fangs was calling his father bc then his father would love him and man iām sad sad very miserable very blue
simons such a freak his girlfriend breaks up with him and his first thought is he'll kill the competition to make her love him again like wow murder really is his love language
