Black Story Month just started and I will not go another day sleeping on María Remedios Del Valle

María Remedios Del Valle (Buenos Aires 1766 - Ibídem, November 1847) was an Afrodescendant Argentinian soldier. She was mixed race, known in Argentina as "Parda" (word used to describe those who descended from Africans and Europeans/ Argentinian natives).

She lost her husband and both her sons at war, then became one of the "Girls of Ayohúma" —those who assisted Manuel Belgrano's defeated army in the battle of Ayohúma—, she was a nurse during the British invasions and served as both a nurse and combatant during the revolution of May during the whole War for the independence of Argentina, this earned her the title of Captain and "Mother of the nation", at the end of her life she was given the title of Sergeant Major of the Argentinian army.

During her years in the army, she earned the respect and admiration of many important white men such as Governor Juan José Viamonte, Representatives Francisco Silveyra and Tomás de Anchorena, and Governor Juan Manuel De Rosas. Such was the admiration they felt for her that they all fought for years so she could get the pension she deserved for her heroic actions and spend her final years in peace, which she got in 1835 along with a double salary.

After returning to Wakanda from Sibera, with a broken heart and two equally broken white boys, T'Challa does not have the time or the energy to go to the mountain. He has so much to do, a ritual in the falls to organize and a father to bury and Nakia to find. There is absolutely no reason to ignore his duties for the night and foolishly venture deep into Jabari Land, just to see the man who’s been planning to fight T'Challa for the throne since they were children.

He goes anyway.

When it comes to M'Baku, he always goes anyway.
