the happy tone of ayaka didn't go unnoticed by the tengu's analytical eyes as she glanced downwards at the shorter woman . it was almost enough to make sara let out a deep sigh , but it was buried within her . she wasn't embarrassed about following the shogun , even after everything that went down , and yet the failure to protect and the need to atone twirled deep within her chest . she couldn't bring herself to look ayaka in the eyes .

" as best as i can be , miss kamisato . " she muttered , but even with her reservations , jt would've probably been for the best to act friendly as a form to make amends . " there's a lot of work to do , and i simply cannot find it in me to take a rest . "
