Welcome to TDP Whump Week 2026!

Ever wished that Rayla's assassin binding had more fallout? Or that the Aaravos-possession potential was explored more? That Runaan's post-coin recovery was a little more touch-and-go? Or even just wished that Callum stayed bruised and bloody for a liiiiiiittle longer after Finnegrin's Wake? If so, then this is the event for you!

Any and all fan-created works are encouraged: fanart, fanfic, edits, gifs, playlists, podfics, or any other media through which you channel your creativity! All ratings and warnings are welcome, including mature and explicit. And all types of whump are encouraged - physical, emotional, mental, psychological . . . as dark as you want to go! As long as no AI is involved, bring it on!

As whump is a varied genre and everyone's comfort level and preferences are different, please be sure to appropriately tag your works for potentially triggering content, so others can opt out if they so choose. Or so they know if something is right up their alley 😈

“For a while, I dreamed of cutting your leg off, too. But that's so uninspired.” She snorted. “Not to mention relatively limited in magical usefulness. So I dreamed bigger.” She stood and crossed over to stand in front of Rayla, forcing her to tilt her head back to look up at her. All semblence of pleasantness was gone from her face. “I still dream about finding him, you know,” she said. “My dad. After you threw him off the Storm Spire.” Her lips twisted into a smile. “When Callum gets here, I want him to find you as broken and bloody as Dad was when I found him.”

💖 Day 7: Aftermath ✨

Back to his reality:

Runaan woke himself as he was taking a breath but he realized it was a dream by his deep sleep. He didn't know what happened to himself. He seems very trauma & gets anxiety since he remembered his past for vengeance other humans.

Ethari see his assassin husband's crying because of the nightmare. He's gonna comfort Runaan will be okay. Runaan came back to his reality.

Escape & Survive from Nightmare:

Runaan was escape from the horrible nightmare then only he see the light. He seems that he has a good dream because of his survive. He didn't know if he could go back to reality in waking himself up.

🌑 Day 5: Dark Magic 😈

Runaan's nightmare:

Runaan tried to escape again like he didn't need a way from the nightmare. He has not used any moon arcanum for his survival. He was stopping the dark magic consuming him. Only he found the purple crystal for he will cast the dark spell to unleash himself to stab his heart by an explosion.

Soren enjoys his birthday and she should celebrate with him. It’ll take her mind of things, she tells herself.

Rayla tries to smile, to push the thoughts to the back of her mind and concentrate on where they are.

Taking a deep breath, she tries to ignore the ache in her belly.

The more biting one lower down.

Soren throws an arm around her shoulder, pulling her in close as he sings some song horribly, loud and off key. Attempting to rally her spirits, she tries to join in, though she doesn’t really know the verses and the chorus is only vaguely familiar.

Soren continues his rounds, moving onto Opeli who blushes and makes a play of appearing annoyed, though she doesn’t pull away nor refuse to sing.

“Hey,” Callum speaks softly in her ear and when she turns to look at him, she can tell he knows something is wrong.

Perhaps when she was younger, she might have tried to pretend, spin a white lie of sorts. Allow him to enjoy the party until later. Pick a more appropriate time.

Callum knows her too well, that is obvious from his gentle tone. The concerned furrow to his brow.

She sighs, resting her head on his shoulder as her throat grows tight.

Callum doesn’t bother asking her if she’s okay, guiding her outside without a word.

Taking a deep breath, she tries to think of how to explain, what to tell him. The truth, obviously, but in what way?

“You know how I was late?” She begins, sniffing as she struggles to look him in the eye.

Callum swallows, nodding stiffly while he bites his lip.

She huffs, wiping her cheek as traitorous tears spill from her eyes. “Well, we don’t have to worry about it anymore.”

🩸Day 4: Monster 💀

Runaan's nightmare:

Runaan has no way to escape from this horrible nightmare because of his deep sleep. Only he saw the blood stained on Harrow's crown & the shadowhawk who sent to the dragon queen for finishing the mission. He see himself as the corruption by Viren's dark magic. He needed to forgive Harrow for what he had been blind, revenge & cruel person. The evil figures are all watching him.

😨 Day 3: Smear of Blood🩸

Runaan's nightmare:

Here comes another nightmare! Runaan has teleport to another place because it's very dark during the night of the forest. He was coughing vomit & felt sick the cover his mouth by his both hands. Only he saw the blood on hands. He didn't know it was some kind of poison or either he's curse by an mysterious evil. He'll figure out who was trying to killed him.

Head, hand, heart

It’s not that he dislikes the boy, not really. It’s just… he’s so very earnest, so eager to please.

After saving him from possibly a lifetime of torment, of never seeing Ethari or Rayla again, the last thing the boy needs is his approval.

On top of that, he killed the boy’s father—

He watched them on the journey back to the Silvergrove, though he tried not to. He’d wondered if the boy’s human quirks were rubbing off on Rayla or if the years themselves had changed her so much, but she was different from when he last saw her. More confident and self-assured.

Very much in love and openly so.

The boy is clearly besotted with her too, which probably goes some way to explain all the crazy things he’s done for her.

Perhaps, if Runaan hadn’t been so focused on getting back to his own husband, he might have been troubled by their level of devotion.

He noticed it was decidedly not normal, but Rayla’s never been one to do things by halves and he’d merely assumed that she’d met her match in that regard.

The lengths the boy was willing to go to for Rayla, for the world, were abundantly clear as he hurriedly explained his terrible plan in a shimmering cave, the instrument of so much destruction clasped in his too young hands.

Runaan has killed many people. He has always told himself that it was necessary, doing what needed to be done in order to keep the loss of life as low as possible.

Strategic and focused.

He tries to tell himself that he is only doing so again, that killing the boy will spare many, many lives.

Callum asked for this.

Begged for it.

And yet, Runaan has to steel his heart against Rayla’s desperate cries. Against her pleas, her sobs.

Drawing his bow back, he prays to whomever might be listening that someday she will forgive them both.
