The Button Collection |Â SUOMU Design
New studio SUOMU Design recently debuted a tableware collection that focuses on creating a tactile tea time experience. Typically, tea time is well, focused on the tea, but SUOMU wants the experience to not only include tea, but also the tactile nature of having tea.
This is what happens when thoughtful design intersects with the things we love (like tea!)...

I took a 7 week coast to coast road trip after being laid off from Boeing. I didnât have a camper but realized that being able to pull off the road at a rest or truck stop was the way to go to make the trip affordable. With a few sheets of 1/2â plywood and misc. hardware this is what I came up with. The effort was well worth the time and materials.
Is this way cool or is it way cool

Tales from behind the scenes..
I went to the new office the other day to help bottle up some Happy Mountain Kombucha! HMK has had an official makeover, so now we're using these nice brown bottles. The new cap keeps that nice kombucha fizz in there much better than the old ones.
After four hours of groovin to music, filling up bottles of kombucha, and making jokes about feeling as if we were in the prohibition, Dom, Jeremiah, Chris, and I were able to churn out a nice "wall of bucha".
I also learned that day that I'm really bad with digital cameras..Â

For Starters.
As a full time coffee roaster, many here assume my job is coffee-lovers heaven. It is, but not for the reason they are referring to. They think I get the privilege to show up to work and gorge myself on every type of caffeinated beverage imaginable. Short, tall, and as often as I want. I get to be âwiredâ all day. This couldnât be further from the truth. Once one of these customers take a deep breathe and drink some water to calm the jitters fueled by their 20 ounces of syrup with 4 shots, then they could process the fact that coffee is a profession, not an addiction.
For starters. Tea. Almost every morning, before I brew the latest roasted origin, I have tea. Black tea in particular. Iâve enjoyed this little separate ritual long before I ever became a coffee roaster. Itâs complex and unique flavors are an enticing adventure.
Above is a personal favorite. âCreme de la Earl Greyâ by Tea Chai TĂ©. A nifty little shop in Portland, Oregon.
Hey thanks!
People often think you have to be coffee OR tea, but that's definitely not true! There is no reason not to be a fan of both.

Hey we sell these lil owls! They're just the right size to wrap both your hands around them in a little owl-hug.
