Marcus sat down on the bed, facing Leon, his legs folded. His eyes lit up at the idea of going to work with Leon. It would definitely be something his programming did not prepare him for. But it would be exciting nonetheless. He wanted to help Leon as much as he could, but he couldn’t really do that when he was stuck at home. “Is that okay?” He asked. “What would I do if I was there?”

"Grade papers, keep the kids in line if they get too out of control, reach stuff that I can't," Leon answered, glad that Marcus at least looked more excited about potentially helping him at the school than not. "You'd just be helping me out there in little ways. It wouldn't be too much harder than what you have to do for me here. Are you up for it?"

Marcus noticed the staring and glanced away, and his cheeks turned red. Staring made people uncomfortable, so he had to show that. “Nothing much, really. I cleaned up a bit. Scrubbed down the bath. Took a bit since it’s been a while since it’s been scrubbed down,” he said, beginning to recognize that what he had to say was not all that interesting. He shifted his stance, looking at the bed as if asking to sit down. “It’s been boring without you here. There’s not much for me to do. No one for me to talk to or anything.”

"Go on, sit down," Leon said, noticing how Marcus was looking down to the bed. 

It’s been boring without you here. For a second, Leon felt a tinge of guilt. He didn't want Marcus going out too often, in fear that the Fitzpatrick kid was going to steal him. But at least the android didn't really feel bored. "Do you need to go to school with me more? I can't buy another android just to be your friend."

Marcus recoiled slightly in response to the scolding. That seemed like an appropriate response to loud voices and harsh words. “O-of course,” Marcus stammered before leaning forward to wrap his arms around Leon’s waist and lift him up onto the bed with relative ease. He took a step back as soon he was done to let Leon take care of the rest. “I-is there anything else I can do for you?”

Leon enjoyed the fact that someone actually listened to him, and that someone actually reacted to his scolding. Lately, no one seemed to be bothered by his bitching, causing more frustration than not. He allowed the android to lift him up, adjusting himself on the bed when he was put down. 

Looking at Marcus's face, he couldn't help but stare. He lucked out to get some decent looking android at such a discount — even if there were glitches that he had to deal with. "Talk to me. Tell me what you did today," he ordered, wanting to feel some kind of connection with someone. If it meant hearing what his android did, then it would have to do.

Marcus made his way to the bedroom and poked his head in to observe Leon on the floor and the chair pushed away from him, presumably from the impact of falling. He approached carefully, scanning Leon quickly for injuries before crouching down beside him. “You’re not hurt? Do you need my help?” He always needed to ask first. He knew it was an important part of Leon’s adjustment to be able to do things on his own. But a little help never hurt anyone.

Leon groaned loudly — and dramatically, of course — when his android asked if he was hurt or not. If he was a human, the teacher would have cussed him out for being so blind and stupid. But it was a robot that was still learning. God, that still frustrated him. "I need your fucking help," he snapped, pushing himself up to a seated position. "Get me on the bed. Now."

Marcus got caught up running errands tonight, since there was a lot of traffic coming home. He told Leon not to wait up until he got home, since he was sure the man would be able to take care of himself for at least a little while. So, when he came into the house, he didn’t expect to be needed so suddenly. He locked the door behind him, carrying a tote bag of a number of different things from the different shops he went to that evening and put it on the counter. It was dark inside, so he flicked on the light, figuring his owner was already asleep and wouldn’t notice if the light in the kitchen was turned on.

However, Marcus perked up when he heard struggling down the hall. He figured since he didn’t have any perishables, he could unpack later. He was needed. “Leon?” He asked, making his way down the hallway into the bedroom.

While it had been a few months since he was thrown into the paralyzed 'life style', but that didn't make it any easier to do anything that he wanted. Things that were normally a breeze became nearly impossible to complete.

Tonight, he had a bit of a struggle of getting into his bed, ending up getting stuck on the ground out of reach of his chair. It was miserable, it was embarrassing, and he didn't exactly have the upper body strength to pull himself up yet. So he cursed loudly, laying on his back on the floor. 

"In here," Leon called out, already feeling the embarrassment. The android couldn't judge him, but that didn't make it any less embarrassing.
