So I haven't been here in a hot minute but the biggest thing that's annoyed me about the reaction to the announcement was that people where annoyed that they did it with a live event.

At PAX

Where a bunch of other companies did the exact same thing.

They didn't create a special event just for it so just calm down maybe?

(This of course isn't directed at everyone just the people who keep saying having an "event" was a waste of overhyped time)

what’s ur favorite thing about playing the humans in gw2? any favorite headcanonsss

my favorite things about playing humans:

- the voice-acting! i’m not too familar with april stewart’s work, but nolan north does such a spectacular job with the male commander, even if i don’t consider it my main’s canon voice.

- most of the fashion is geared towards humans and armor clipping is something i usually never have to worry about. charr mains who love fashion wars i’m so sorry y’all deserve better.

my favorite headcanons:

- ever since queen jennah replaced the huge sinkhole with the crown pavillion, a lot of people assume divinity’s reach just doesn’t have an arts district anymore. the truth is that the city doesn’t have an official arts district anymore. both figuratively and literally underground, there is a thriving arts scene deep in the depths of the crown pavillion.

- from above, it’s way too dark to see anything, but people swear they see weird lights flickering down there. it’s probably just a trick of the light or something. definitely not the multi-colored lanterns of the bustling night market.

- sometimes, if you’re really quiet, you can hear faint snatches of music echoing up from the depths. rumor has it that it’s the ghosts of the singers and musicians who couldn’t evacuate in time before the sinkhole collapsed. surely there’s no one actually alive and practicing down there… right?
