[A selfie of a lumineon touching noses with a brown-haired adult in a power wheelchair. Their proportions are vaguely misshapen due to lack of muscle tone and uneven weight distribution. Their arms are peppered with small scars, clearly from getting too close to pokemon battles or training.]
This is Finny, my ace, my partner pokemon, and most importantly, my friend. He was my very first pokemon, and has been there for me through so many ups and downs - even when I wasn't there for him. He's a battle enthusiast, a lover of poffins, and a wonderful contest competitor to boot!
Finny means a lot to me, and wherever we go, we go together. That's the promise I made him. And that's why we can't visit Amity Park, because only a select few species - and people! - are allowed for arbitrary reasons, or because of individual actions being applied to a whole.
I think Finny is cute, but honestly, it shouldn't matter if anyone thinks he's cute or not. It's such a subjective measurement. We should be allowed to enjoy a park that's open to the public. But we're not, because by their own rules, only "cute" pokemon are allowed, and trainers who are "unsightly" and cannot cover up "frightening" features are banned.
Morally, who gets to define "cute"? Who gets to define "unsightly"? Who gets to define "frightening"?
I don't think anyone should. I think actions should speak for the individual committing them, and appearances should not define any group or individual.
If you agree, share your story, and tag it with "this is banned from amity park"! The tag was started by @team-kawaiipunk , but you don't have to join or support them to help get amity park to change!
