Couldn’t get this out of my head and I’m not sure if anyone’s done it yet so here we go (AKA the Hargreeves children are the Seven Deadly Sins)
Number One “Luther”: Lust
Luther’s main motivation half of the time on the show is his infatuation with Allison (which I still find creepy and I hope it’s dropped in season 2). He’s rarely willing to get up and help save someone unless it’s Allison. Part of his story arc also involves him losing his virginity at a rave.
Something heavily implied on Diego’s part is his envy of Luther. It’s implied that he wants to be Number One. He’s dissatisfied with his position as Number Two, only being viewed as second best.
Number Three “Allison”: Greed
Allison will do anything to get what she wants. She is implied to have used her power to get everything in her life. This is including several film roles, getting people to do what she wants, and even getting her husband. She was willing to manipulate her way to the top, in order to have it all.
Number Four “Klaus”: Gluttony
I originally was gonna make Klaus greed, due to his constantly stealing and trying to acquire money, but Allison fit greed more, and his wanting money is so that he could get more drugs. Thus, gluttony. Klaus, from the getgo, is shown not only to be a drug addict, but to regularly consume enough drugs in one sitting to overdose on a regular basis, if his casualness with the EMT is any indication.
This one’s a no-brainer. In fact, it’s outright said at one point that this is his greatest flaw. Five is very confident in his abilities, even overconfident at points. This is how he got trapped in the future in the first place. He overestimated and overdid himself, and couldn’t get back because of it.
Poor Ben. He got sloth because he died and can’t do anything now. However, he is also shown to be rather reluctant to take part in the academy in the flashbacks, being the only one to do so. I don’t know if it’s because he’s used to Klaus’ nonsense, but he also takes a really backseat role in Klaus’ decision making.
Number Seven “Vanya”: Wrath
Easily the most temperamental one when she isn’t taking her emotion dampening medication, Vanya is the most wrathful of her siblings. I mean, she caused the apocalypse, after all, all because she was mad at her siblings. She is seen having a rather large temper issue even as far back as four years old.
Reginald Hargreeves: Despair
Reginald, by the end of life, was clearly disappointed with how all of his children turned out. He was dissatisfied with how they had either split up, went missing, or died. He was said to have become rather somber in his final days, up until, in order to bring his children back together again, he killed himself.
Harold Jenkins aka Leonard Peabody: Vainglory
Harold always thought he was meant to be a part of the Academy when he was a kid, because he was born on the same day. However, after he was rejected by Hargreeves, he went into a downward spiral. Eventually, he began to believe he was even better than the Academy, and boasted as such to their neglected sister.
Throughout most of the childrens’ life, Pogo was more of a father figure to them than their actual father. However, he still kept a great deal of secrets for their father’s sake. He continued to perpetuate these lies well into their adulthood, eventually leading to his own demise when it boiled over.
Grace Hargreeves: Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Patience, Kindness, and Humility
An angel. I can’t fit a pic here because of the limit but let’s pretend it’s because her light would blind the rest of the post out.
