Introduction!

Hello, and welcome to my first-ever askblog! I really want to try and share the story of one of my beloved characters through this format, and Caspian’s tale feels like the perfect fit for an interactive, mostly light-hearted, and adventurous journey!

You might recognize some familiar faces from my ongoing comic, Hello Starchild, as well as from my friend’s comic, Supernova!

Think of this askblog as a fun way to dive deeper into this family’s story~

Here’s how it works: - You may ask any major character who appears in the story! However, questions that include major spoilers for Supernova and Hello Starchild will not be answered directly, if at all. - You cannot insert your own characters into the plot. If you try to, you will be ignored. Spamming questions will also most likely lead to a temporary or permanent ban. - Characters will answer you as if they have a familiar acquaintance with you. - Questions that ask about the future events in this story are unlikely to be answered. Is there such a thing as paternity/maternity leave when Pokémon hatch from eggs?

With humans, we get like a few months off just to take care of the baby and to be familiar and bond but whats the case with Pokémon?

Oh, and uhh... Do you guys have any rival teams? Friendly rivals? Actually, hostility, or is it just good fun? (Sorry to put two questions into one:

"Yeah! Well, sorta."

"It's really unhealthy for baby 'mons to hatch without a parent nearby. It should be the parent whose species they share, but a child can live a good, healthy life even with their primary attachment being to their other parent or parents."

"Ideally, you want to have all parents nearby as the baby hatches, and the same-species or direct parent nearby as often as possible while the child is still in its egg. So usually, parents will be given some extra time off to be with the egg and share their magic with it, so that it grows properly."

"I uh- I didn't know that when Koda was in her egg. I wanted to be with her, obviously, but I- I couldn't just ignore my work."

"I was away when she hatched. I could feel it in my soul when it happened, like a tug on my magic, but I didn't get there in time. I feel pretty awful about it."

"But Lucas was with her when she hatched. So... she was all right. Nowadays, she can be sort of anxious and a bit clingy with us."

"But fundamentally, she's okay! She developed a really strong bond with Lucas, and she's always been able to be her strange, starry-eyed little self without issue. And I spent a lot of time with her as she grew up."
