After a disturbance in the rift in Cardiff, Wales, the Doctor is reunited with a team of his greatest companions, many of whom he believed it'd be impossible to ever see again.
Stuck somewhere in between celebration and confusion, the Doctor and his new team must now work to fix the serious wrongs in this world. They will take over where the Doctor had left off, all the while slowly working to figure out what brought them all here. Everything truly happens for a reason and this meeting was no pure coincidence.
When Martha Jones met the Doctor, she instantly fell for him. He took her to fantastic places and on wild adventures and throughout her time with him, she realized that her feelings would never be reciprocated. Though that didn't stop her from saving the universe a number of times. And she wasn't about to stop doing so even without the Doctor. After finally earning her doctorate, Martha joined up with UNIT and became a medical officer there, later joining Jack at Torchwood 3, substituting for Owen for a short period. She returned to work for UNIT once more where she met Mickey, her future husband. The two of them worked so well in tandem that it was only natural for them to try dating. Their relationship furthered and they eventually married. The two of them decided they were better off working without UNIT and the two of them fought aliens freelance for a few years before receiving a call from one Jack Harkness.
He informed them that he recently lost his team at Torchwood and needed a bit of help. Since then, they’ve been working together along with Donna Noble in a reformed sector of Torchwood, Donna having regained her memories up to a point. It took a bit of time, but the group’s gained a cohesiveness now of a team that’s been working together much longer than they actually have been. Martha stepped right back into her position as their medical officer, working of forensics and always fixing up the teams injuries. With the rift activity acting up again, Martha and the team are back on the job and the alert for the recently disappeared Doctor, knowing that things were about to get even crazier than before.
Donna Noble was, as far as she was concerned, completely and utterly normal. Nothing particularly special happened to her. She was a temp, living an average life day after day with her mother and grandfather. Not that she’d argue. She was happy with herself and the way she was living. There were bits of her that always strived for more in her career, her love life, but that was all so natural. So human. But as time went on, little flicks of something past began to refill her mind. Bits and pieces of a life left behind, with a mysterious madman in a box. She didn’t know it then, but Donna’s mind, still slightly imbued with the time lord metacrisis was regenerating itself, bringing her memories of the Doctor back slowly but surely up to the moment before the metacrisis itself occurred, preventing her from burning out as the Doctor predicted, before the last of the time lord energy in her floated into the sky.
Reminded of her adventures with the Doctor and unable to explain how she got from the burning TARDIS back to her normal life with no memory of the Doctor, the ever-persistent Donna headed out to contact Torchwood in an attempt to look for the Doctor again. She dropped her job as a temp and finally made good use of the knowledge she gained on her travels, working with a team of Torchwood agents on tracking and surveillance. After all, this was the woman who was able to track down the Doctor. When things began to go awry in Cardiff again, though, Donna was among the small group still waiting and hoping that the Doctor would show up to help, even if he hadn’t been seen in ages, last seen promising the general masses that he’d retired.

It has been a month since any sign of activity for some of you. We love you guys and want to be lenient, but a month is excessive. If we don't hear back from you or see you post by Friday, your roles will be reopened. We had people interested in joining and with only ten roles, it is not fair to us if you are not present and helping further our plot. We have a lot of great plans, but we can't do anything with them if no one is here.
Transcript from the neatchat on 1/5/13. Thanks so much Brit for getting this all together!
Rose Tyler:
Rose wandered to the TARDIS doors, thinking of the nearest coffee shops. She could go for a nice cuppa, but her thoughts changed when she opened the doors. It was Cardiff, that was for sure, but it wasn’t their Cardiff. She slowly took a step outside the TARDIS, glancing around. Tears began to well up in her eyes when she fully realised where they were, somewhere impossible. “Doctor!” She shouted, still looking around. “Doctor!”
Metacrisis Ten:
Brows furrowed with concern, Meta glanced up from his controls to see what Rose was on about. Something was clearly wrong, or else she wouldn’t be kicking up such a fuss. He stepped out of the TARDIS as quickly as possible, eager to see what the problem was. The realization came quickly. It felt wrong. Out of place. Rubbing the back of his neck as he glanced around, he could only manage one word, “How?”
River Song:
River Song was not an easy person to surprise - only the Doctor had managed such a feat in the entirety of her life time. But this time, as it turns out, she may have just surprised herself. When she heard the screeching of the TARDIS, she ran, eager, to meet her husband. It was a shock, to say the least, when a young blonde and the Doctor’s tenth incarnation stepped out of the Big Blue Box. Her brows furrowed and she stopped in her tracks. This couldn’t have been her doing, could it? She’d buggered with time and space a lot in her days, but this was impossible, even for her. “Well,” she said, shaking her head, a small smile playing at her lips. “This is exciting.”
Rose Tyler:
Rose looked at the Doctor, not noticing the woman who was staring at them. “Doctor,” She started slowly, still trying grasp where she was. “What’s going on?”
Amy Pond:
Amy stumbled a bit, her hand shooting towards her temples as she tried to steady herself from the rush of the vortex manipulator. “River, I still don’t understand what we’re doing he—” Her words caught in her throat at the sight of the blue police box just in front of them. “No, it can’t be. But he said — But you said—” She was further stunned to see the man and woman who walked out of the TARDIS. Whoever she was, she had called him Doctor, so he had to be, but he looked different. Well, he had told her that he could do that. “Doctor!” she called out to him as she made her way towards them, a huge grin spread across her face “So, I see you lost the bowtie. Finally!”
Rory Williams:
Steadying his wife after landing, Rory turns his head in every direction, sampling their surroundings, what appeared to be the present day—their present day. “How could we be here?” he asks River, the very reason for he and Amy being in the time that they are. “River, what did you—” Taking note of a certain blue box not too far off from where they appeared, a small—albeit, confused—smile appears on his stupid face, especially seeing Amy’s reaction. He soon followed after her, towards the apparently new Doctor and new companion, laughing under his breath at the comment on the lack of bowtie. “Doctor, you got a new…” he trails off, gesturing at his own face. “And a new…hello,” he finishes, waving awkwardly at the blonde woman standing in front of the TARDIS.
The Doctor:
“Only River.” The Doctor muttered to himself, flipping a switch on the metal TARDIS console, stumbling as the entire room shook violently, no smile gracing his face or laughter escaping his throat as the feeling used to create. He’d long ago given up on traveling and messing with people’s lives. It was better this way. “I’ve got you, old girl.” He sighed, his hand reaching to his neck, the same old ensemble on his skinny frame but missing his old bowtie. Too many painful memories. River had called him demanding help…so he’d go. Part of him believed he was beginning to go stir crazy alone here. The TARDIS screeched to a halt, and the Doctor strode outside, looking up into the sky. Just another day in Cardiff. Just another day.
Rose Tyler:
Rose quirked an eyebrow at the three newcomers. “Bowtie?” She shook her head, “Um, hello, I’m Rose Tyler, and you are?” She looked at all three of the newcomers. They couldn’t possibly be companions prior to Rose, he had just come back from the Time War when they had met. So that had to mean that these were the full Timelord Doctor’s new companions, but already old companions? “This might be confusing but this is the Doctor but not the one you’re thinking of… um… I’ll let him explain.”
Metacrisis Ten:
Meta’s jaw dropped when he caught sight of River. He didn’t know how to react - or even what to think. She clearly knew who he was, but he had met her at the end of her timeline. Not that he could tell her that. So, instead, he shifted uncomfortably, overwhelmed by the fact that he was apparently supposed to know these people. With a sigh, he looked from Rose to the others. “That’s a rather long story that I’m sure we’ll tell you eventually, but for now, let’s just say that I’m merely a copy of the Doctor. I was accidentally created through some process that involved a companion and a hand that an alien cut off one Christmas, and really, who’d wanna get rid of this face? You know how it goes, I’m sure. Anyway, point is, I’m not your Doctor. Doubt he’s even nearly as handsome as me. I’d ask you lot where he is, but you don’t seem to know.” He pointed out, cocking his head to the side, before looking at River as he added, “Except you.”
River Song:
River didn’t get a chance to explain to her parents that the people before them shouldn’t have been there at all, and that THAT Doctor wasn’t the Doctor they were thinking of, before they were making polite and familiar conversation. Not a moment passed before the Doctor’s replica was speaking, explaining as much as he could as best as he could, dropping little self-glorifying comments along the way. ‘Some things never change,’ River thought, stopping herself from rolling her eyes at the thought. She marveled at the fact that she was standing before Rose Tyler and the Metacrisis Doctor in Edinburgh. This dimension. What in God’s name could’ve happened to cause something like this? Whatever it was, it couldn’t be good. But she couldn’t help but smile as Metacrisis turned to her, and nodded. “You’re right. He should be here soon enough. We thought he was going to be you, what with the TARDIS and all, but - speaking of which, how are you here?”
Amy Pond:
Amy stopped in her tracks as soon as she noticed how confused people were. “Oh, ok, that sounds like something he wold get himself into. Or you. Or whatever. But, nice to meet you both.” Of course, too good to be true. She wouldn’t get to see her doctor again it seemed. But she had Rory. And River. And they were back in the present. And a doctor. Which was certainly an improvement. “Wait, the Doctor is coming here? Our doctor?” she asked River before turning back to the other doctor and adding, “And really, what is with the trainers? Has anyone ever asked you that?”
Rory Williams:
“Two Doctors…same time, same place?” Rory asked, shock slightly overcoming his joy at the thought of seeing his old friend again. “But, wouldn’t the universe implode at that? Again?” If there’s anything he’s learned in his years travelling with the Doctor, it’s that it doesn’t take much to screw up the universe. Surely, two Doctors must be against the laws of the universe. Something like that. “Good to meet you, old you, sort’ve old you. And you,” he nodded at Rose, turning to River. “You brought us to see the Doctor. You both said you can’t. How?”
The Doctor:
The Doctor stuck his hands in the pockets of his blazer, pulling one out to take a glance at the psychic paper he held with the intersection River asked him to meet her at before sticking it back. He hadn’t frequented Earth very often since his last incident here. He actually tended to avoid it as much as possible. The man took a sharp turn around a corner, crossing a main road and passing out of a crowd of people, heading along the back roads towards his destination. As he looked up at the street sign for accuracy, he sighed. Vortex manipulators. Messy. Could never quite be exact. “River!” He called once, hearing a bit of commotion around the corner. “River? Where are you, I haven’t got the time for gam—” He began, turning the corner and stopping speaking and walking at the same moment at the sight before him. For a moment, he just stood and stared. River. His…His metacrisis? Rose Tyler—how the hell—and…the Ponds. Amy. Rory. He must be mad, madder than usual. The Doctor made a quick heel turn, going back for a moment to take a few deep breaths, his hearts pounding. This was probably just some bizarre dream. It would be a lie to say he hadn’t dreamed of things like this before. When he was sure he was completely composed, he turned back, once more beginning to speak. “River, what the bloody hell’ve you call—” They were still there. Every one of them. The tall, lanky timelord merely stood in shock for a moment. “I…” He managed to choke out after some time. “How?”
Rose Tyler:
Rose tried her best to keep up but it felt like her head was spinning. She couldn’t even laugh at the redhead’s comment about her Doctor’s trainers, then the bloke beside her mentioned something about the universe imploding, which was very possible but not because of the two Doctors, well, not this time. But all of Rose’s thoughts stopped abruptly when she saw a man who seemed to be trying to get the woman with the crazy hair, who Rose now knew as River, attention. This man was the Doctor, the new regeneration of him. Rose’s eyes widened and all she could do was stare at the full Timelord Doctor, observing his new look. “Doctor,” She breathed out, looking at him with wides eyes mixed with confusion, disbelief, and astonishment.
Metacrisis Ten:
“I don’t… my what?” Meta asked, his gaze shifting from River to the redhead. He’d heard what she’d asked, but it took a moment to register, and without thinking, he looked down at his shoes. “What’s wrong with my trainers?” Then he gave a small shrug and said, “I do an awful lot of running. Comfy shoes are a must. Wear nothing but. Ask her.” He gestured to Rose with a smile. “As for how we’re here… I really can’t say. He gave us TARDIS corral, if you’re asking about that. But… we really shouldn’t be here, in this universe.” At this, he turned and began to inspect the TARDIS, not because he thought it would give him any clues, but because he genuinely had no idea what had brought him here. Not that it was much of a surprise. Did he ever have a clue? Something behind him caught his attention. Not the group he happened to be standing with - but something beyond them. He turned, not quite sure what he was expecting, but saw nothing. There was nothing there. So why couldn’t he tear his gaze away? And then he came around the corner, and Meta knew without a doubt. How could he not? He only existed because the Doctor did. He watched as the Doctor approached River, more familiar with her than he’d ever been. Of course. He’d only met her once, but she’d known him in a way he hadn’t known her. It seemed that had changed. Rose’s reaction was what got him, though. That breathy “Doctor” as she stared at him. Pushing aside the things he didn’t want to think about, he addressed the man with the unfamiliar face. “Well, now, we can’t expect to understand right away. What fun would that be? Let’s see. There’s Rose and I - completely out of place. Well, sort of. Then there’s River - and there’s not really words there, but I’m sure you can understand what I mean. And these two - the ginger and her pal - seem a little lost. And you’re STILL not ginger!”
River Song:
River’s head whipped around as she heard her name called, and her eyes landed on the Doctor. Her Doctor. Concern washed over her. She was almost unsure of how he would take the situation, but she knew he wouldn’t take it well - for so many reasons. Bringing Amy and Rory back to him would have been hard enough to explain, hard enough to prepare him for. But Rose as well? And even Metacrisis? And the Universe was still in tact. “Doctor -” she called, taking a few steps after him before he turned back, frustration laced in his words - quickly followed by shock. The Doctor, for the first time in centuries, had been left speechless. She paused for a moment with baited breath. “The Doctor - that Doctor - is right. No fun in understanding right away. But,” she added, holding up a finger. “I can explain Amy and Rory’s presence.” River held up her wrist, tapping the vortex manipulator lightly and offering the Doctor - her Doctor - a small, wry smile. “Speeds through traffic,” she said. “All stories have an end, Doctor, but we haven’t reached it yet.” She turned to Metacrisis and Rose, then crossed her arms. “It’s you two that’ve got me stumped. I’ll take credit for Amy and Rory, but I really had nothing to do with this one.” Her eyebrows creased again, and she let out a slow breath. “Which brings me back to the same question: why the Universe hasn’t ripped itself apart?”
Amy Pond:
For a moment, Amy was confused to see the looks on the others faces, a mix of confusion awe and excitement between them but she couldn’t figure what about until she heard his voice. Without hesitation, she spun around and saw him. It was him, the raggedy man, her imaginary friend. She was never supposed to see him ever again. Sure, River said he was returning but the Doctor was nothing if not unreliable about meeting locations. And time. But there he was. The others no longer mattered, she ran over to give him a hug. “It’s really you. And where’s the bowtie?” the red head questioned poking at the collar of his shirt. “I almost miss it.” She pulled away from him quickly enough. There was a lot to explain and she was nearly as out of the loop as her imaginary friend seemed to be. After trying to take in what he was saying about the second TARDIS’s appearance here, she merely shook her head at the other doctor’s explanation about his footwear. “Always has to be something. At least it’s not a fez.” It was then “Ginger? Oh you mean me. I’m Amy Pond. Williams. Sometimes. And this is Rory, my husband.” As River explained their appearance here, Amy nodded along. All she really knew was that River said to come along and she knew better than to question her daughter. But as she asked her final question, the redhead’s eyebrows shot up. “Wait, the universe should be ripped apart? So there’s something bigger going on here? That brought us all back? More than just a vortex manipulator, right?” She smiled and turned to the Doctor and then her husband. “I know it’s only been a few months, but I have to say, I missed this.”
Rory Williams:
So it was true. The Doctor was back. Not a doubt in his mind that it was solely his daughter’s doing, Rory approached the Doctor, barely giving him a chance to breathe by hugging him after Amy pulled away from her own embrace. “Good to see you again, Doctor!” He pulled back, composing himself and wiping a stupid grin off of his face. The reunion of their small family felt fantastic, and Amy was right about missing it. Despite wanting to settle down for good, he did miss it too. “I just have to ask, Doctor, do you talk a lot of nonsense in all of your regenerations? Or just the both of you?” As if it wasn’t hard enough to get in one sentence with one Doctor around. “River might’ve ripped apart the universe to bring us back. I know you should probably look down on that, but cheer up a bit. Go on.”
The Doctor:
The timelord merely stood there, listening to the commotion around him, first turning his attention to River. “Is that so? The universe hasn’t ripped apart, no, it hasn’t, not yet. Yet. River, this is the worst possible thing you could’ve done, how on earth could you have managed to be so irresponsible, and thoughtless, and careless, and…” He grew slightly out of breath, before, for the first time, making eye contact with the redhead that stood beside River, immediately forgetting the rage and anger that was burning in his hearts, and instead focusing on how fantastic this moment was, quickly pulling the young woman into a hug. “Pond…Oh, Pond.” He said softly, allowing a single tear to fall down his face, unwilling to show it to the rest of the crowd. When he was certain the waterworks were done, he pulled back, quickly wiping his face and putting on a grin. “I missed it, too. Months, yes, yes, it…it was only slightly longer than that for me. But I missed you both just the same.” He commented, praying to whatever higher power that the weariness of 198 years of traveling alone that stung in his eyes didn’t betray the wall he’d attempted to put up. As he pulled in to hug Rory, a warmth within his chest lit that hadn’t been there in nearly 200 years. “Oi!” He exclaimed, frowning. “It’s not nonsense! I just like hearing myself talk, and when I’ve got a lot to say—lots of clever things, might I add—it just makes things that much easier.” He said, a small laugh escaping his lips at Rory’s words. “I…I suppose you are right, Rory. Just…for one moment.” Maybe, for once, things would work out. Completely work out. The Doctor then turned his attention only for a moment to River, mouthing out ‘thank you’ and squeezing her shoulder slightly as he passed her by, then standing in front of the other pair who’d arrived in a TARDIS. He stood face to face with the dark haired man, his mind completely processing what he’d said before replying. “I don’t have the slightest idea, but…let’s take this as a positive for the time being, besides the slight possibility of the universe being ripped apart as we speak. The TARDIS, she’s a beaut.” He said, grinning slightly. “And you’re definitely like me, makes me feel a better better that you’re not nearly as daft as I thought I used to be if you managed to keep her around.” He said, before taking a moment to look over at the blonde woman who stood beside his human self. Rose Tyler. There were some people that found themselves a permanent home in his hearts, and she was the greatest transgressor. “Rose Tyler.” He said, a small smile gracing his lips as he turned his body to face her. “Still me, y’know.”
Jack Harkness:
The all-too familiar sound of the universe gradually grew louder in volume, the whirring welcoming to Jack’s ears. He had gone far too long without that sound, the sound that meant that the Doctor had returned, and he was genuinely curious, as he hurriedly gathered his things, as to what the new reincarnation of the Doctor would look like. He couldn’t be ready fast enough, and as soon as he shrugged on his jacket- the Captain bolted off in the direction of the noise. He had absolutely no idea what was in store for him, but he was thrilled to know that he would soon find out. Running, always running- a grin settled on Jack’s face as he increased his speed, the party quickly coming into view. There were some very familiar faces, and some that weren’t, but Jack was still just as eager to meet them. Severely confused, but not at all disappointed, Jack slowed his pace- breathing heavily as he took in the group before him. The Doctor he had last seen was present along with Rose- but only visually. This Doctor, or version of the Doctor, was different- it had to be the metacrisis Doctor, as there was no other explanation. How both he and Rose were present, Jack wasn’t entirely sure, but with the spike in rift activity, it somehow came together. Along with those two came a few others, a woman with frizzy, curly blond hair with an all-to-familiar device strapped on her wrist. A couple- judging by the wedding-bands adorning their respective ring-fingers- a young red-headed girl, and an odd-looking fellow of about the same age, and lastly, a tall man with medium-length brown hair. Jack finally came to join them as he watched the man approach both the ginger and her supposed partner, offering them each a hug before he moved on to Rose. He seemed to know them all, and well if his actions were anything to go by- Was this the new Doctor? “Sorry, I’m a little late.” Jack chuckled as he met a few gazes, hands in the pockets of his long, grey coat.
Rose Tyler:
Rose looked at the Doctor, a small smile growing on her lips. She couldn’t believe it was him, it was amazing yet impossible. They weren’t supposed to see each other ever again, not with the separate universes. Tears started to well up in her eyes before she finally managed to bring herself to give him a hug. It was all different from her Doctor, from their appearance to even their smell, but even with all the differences the embrace felt familiar. “You’re still you,” Rose said softly, pulling back and giving him a once over. She wiped the tears from her eyes and tried to make herself collected again, but it wasn’t her fault she was getting emotional. She didn’t expect to see him today, and truth be told she never expected to see him ever again. The last time they had seen each other was in Bad Wolf Bay, and they hadn’t even had a proper goodbye, with him just leaving with Donna and all. Before she could say anything else someone had approached the group; another surprise. “Jack!” She exclaimed, her small smile forming into a proper grin. She immediately pulled him into an embrace. “Better late than never,” She said to him as she left go, moving back to the Metacrisis Doctor’s side.
Metacrisis Ten:
“You don’t have to account for us. Our own doing. Not that we meant to end up here, but we did. Sort of. We were trying to go to Cardiff in our world, and we landed here instead.” He said with a frown. Several times, they had pointed out the fact that there were two Doctors, and Meta didn’t care to point out that he wasn’t actually a Timelord, so for once, he actually kept his mouth shut. Kind of. He watched the hugs and the greetings, and he wondered about these new companions. Were they every bit as good as Rose or Martha? Or Donna? He smiled fondly at the thought of the fiery ginger he’d once flown with, and he found himself staring at the girl who’d introduced herself as Amy. Was she a fiery ginger? He wouldn’t doubt it. So the two were married. He almost burst out with an insult - oh boy, that was sass, alright - at the man’s - Rory’s - comment about nonsense, but the Doctor beat him to it. Probably for the best. If he was going to be stuck here with the lot of them, he might as well get along with them, he might as well get along with them. He watched Rose and the Doctor, wondering if all of the time between him leaving them at Bad Wolf Bay and now were practically null and void in this moment. He didn’t know what was going through the Doctor’s head or hers or even his own, and luckily, a certain Captain’s arrival distracted him. He grabbed the Captain in a big hug, more hearty than most he’d given in the past, and clapped him on the back. It was always nice to have a friend around. Rose moved back to his side, and he took her hand in his, lacing their fingers together.
River Song:
River had braced herself for the worst, knowing the Doctor wouldn’t be happy with her. But bracing herself for the Doctor’s anger was like trying to brace yourself for nuclear war: it was even hard to say, let alone do. She kept quiet as he scolded her, wanting nothing more than to show him that Amy and Rory’s presence wasn’t collateral, that they were there, and safe. But in the middle of his reminding her of all the things she had been, she noticed his face begin to soften, and his eyes landed on Amy’s. A small smile formed on River’s lips as he greeted her parents, and a light that she hadn’t seen in him since before Manhattan seemed to rekindle. As he walked pas there and squeezed her shoulder, she smiled, touching her hand a moment to his, mouthing out a ‘you’re welcome’ in response. River’s attention was drawn away by the approach of yet another unexpected (and this time unknown) visitor. Rose addressed him immediately as Jack, and it clicked in her mind: Captain Jack Harkness. The Doctor had spoken of him before, and she was rather curious how his presence in this situation would play out. “Captain Jack Harkness,” River said, and smiled, offering him her hand. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you. River Song.”
Amy Pond:
“You’d better not have been wandering off moping by yourself for too long,” she scolded the Doctor. Looking at him, she knew that he had been but she would always hope otherwise. She also hoped that he wasn’t too damaged after however long it had been for him alone. Amy watched as the Doctor reunited with the blonde, trying to size up just what their relationship was, or had been. The whole time, her gaze scanned back and forth between the original Doctor and the human one. This was certainly bound to get interesting, the redhead thought as she crossed her arms. Her musing was interrupted as the man with the grey jacket, apparently named Jack, came strolling towards them. She watched as her daughter introduced herself to the stranger just exchanged a look and a shrug to Rory, feeling a bit the odd one out for not knowing who he was. Giving him a one over as he shook River’s hand, she added “Oh I agree, it really is a pleasure to meet you. I’m Amy.” She knew her husband was right there, but Rory or no Rory, that wasn’t going to stop her from flirting. Just because she was married didn’t mean she couldn’t look or have any harmless fun.
Rory Williams:
It hadn’t occurred to Rory that the Doctor could have been travelling for years, decades—centuries, even—but hoped that, if so, it wasn’t lonely. Looking at the small crowd around him, it’s obvious that the Doctor’s always had someone. Rose, the Doctor was clearly close to her at some point. And there was usually River. And whoever this Captain was, the Doctor probably traveled with him, too. If anyone knows how stir crazy one could go alone, it’s Rory, so he wouldn’t be surprised if the Doctor found a new companion or two. But that’s the thing. He came alone. Trying his best to ignore that possibility, he turns his attention to Captain Jack, already wary of him. “And I’m her husband, Rory. Hi, hello. Married.”
Jack Harkness:
Jack’s grin returned full-force as the group-members came to acknowledge him, each with their own unique greeting. He accepted the hugs from both Rose and the Doctor, returning them respectively without letting his hands roam… too much, that is. Rose was as adorable as ever, and the Doctor, while not a time-lord, was still quite close to how he remembered him. He took River’s offered hand and nodded, putting on a charming smile. “The pleasure’s mine.” He chuckled as Amy’s eyes all-to-clearly raked over his form, adding in her own form of hello. “Likewise, Amy.” He gave her a brief wink. Finally, turning to Rory, Jack resisted the urge to snicker aloud at his words as he pointedly introduced himself as Amy’s husband. “Hi there, Rory- I’m Captain Jack Harkness.” His winning-smile was ever-present as he extended his hand towards the other male for a hand-shake. “Lucky man.”
The Doctor
"I am. Like to think I'm a bit more pulled together, yeah?" He joked, giving a slight grin to the Metacrisis Doctor before placing his hands on Rose's cheeks. "It's been quite some time, Rose Tyler. Quite some time, and I..." For the second time today, the Doctor was left with no words. He merely stood there for a moment, just grinning wildly. It hadn't been that long for her, if this was 2013, but this was someone he hadn't seen in quite some time. About five hundred years since he'd left Rose with himself at Bad Wolf Bay. And this, if nothing else, was a relief. That she was happy. That without even knowing it, he had been protecting her all along by way of his own metacrisis. The Doctor took a step back and looked at the group before him. Impossible people. This was an impossible group. But yet...somehow meant to be. After a minute or so, he was snapped out of his trance by a sudden, unexpected addition to the gathering, a familiar face. "Captain Jack Harkness!" He exclaimed, going to shake the man's hand and instead pulling him in for a hug. "Still fooling around Cardiff, I see." He raised his eyebrows slightly. "You're here quite often, I'd assume." He says, giving glances to everyone present. "So, yes, I'm the Doctor, but you all know that. Quick run through of the usual suspects--Captain Jack Harkness, on and off companion of mine from the 51st Century, brilliant man strongly involved with Torchwood over the years." He announced quickly, patting Jack on the back and stepping over to River. "River Song, daughter of Ponds, sometimes archeologist and sometimes psychopathic wonder and TARDIS frequent flier. Killed a clever, handsome man, you know. No mercy! Don't trust her. I don't." The Doctor said with a wink, coming between the Ponds and wrapping his arms around their shoulders. "These are the Ponds, Amelia Pond and Rory Pond, because that is most certainly how it works." He continued at his quick pace. "My most recent companions, traveled with them on and off for about ten years of their lives, three hundred of mine--wow, I'm old--thought I'd lost them forever, kind of like you Rose, but them in time and you in space. But here they are! Amy doesn't listen and Rory asks too many questions, but Ponds will be Ponds, right?" He said, amused with himself as he strode over to the last two. "This is the Doctor," He announced, wrapping an arm around the metacrisis Doctor's shoulders. "Brilliant fellow, if I do say so myself." The timelord laughs, going to fix his bowtie out of instinct and finding nothing there. "He's me. I'm him. But he's a human. And a timelord. Kind of. Long, complicated, fanciful story but he's really something. Insult him, you're insulting me. Still love the trainers, by the way." He commented, taking his last step over to the blonde, a pang pulling on his hearts as he saw their interlocked hands. "And this is Rose Tyler. My first companion after the time war, and really the reason I'm not completely and utterly mad. You know, with power and all that. Really, really special to me. That's an understatement. Thought I'd lost her, too. Another dimension. And yet...here you are. So very wrong." He paused for a breath. "Now that's settled, we fall into the real issue here, yes, the universe hasn't ripped yet." The Doctor quickly pulled his sonic from his pocket and aimed it at the sky, taking a reading. "But there's something unnatural, not disastrously quite yet but verging on catastrophic coming. What on earth could that even be, ans..." He tucked the sonic back in his pocket, instead grabbing a strip of red fabric, pulling it around his neck as he tied. "Who's going to stop it." He grinned, finishing the bowtie on his neck. "But is that really a question?"
Rose Tyler
Amy, Rory, and River, Rose reminded herself. She tried to keep up the best she could, but it was very confusing. Did he say she murdered a man? And River the daughter of Rory and Amy? Rose glanced at Rory and Amy once again, notcing that they looked younger than their 'daughter'. As the Doctor started to call off names of everyone in the group, Rose glanced at the Metacrisis Doctor, giving him a small smile and a light squeeze of the hand, but was quickly brought back to the other Doctor's attention when he started to introduce her. He always said she made him better; both Doctor's did. She gave the full Timelord Doctor a soft smile when he mentioned how special she was to him. It was all quite emotional to Rose, perhaps even more so considering her current raise of hormones with being pregnant. Something that only her mum knew. Of course, this wasn't the time to bring it up, seeing that two universes should be torn a part at the moment. Mad, impossible things were happening to the group of them, but maybe, just this time, it didn't mean horrible. Everything seemed to be alright, at least from where she was standing.
Metacrisis Ten
Meta watched Jack make the rounds, not at all surprised at how well he seemed to be accepted by most. With the exception of the Rory bloke, but if Amy was his wife, that was understandable. The Doctor, being the same brilliant man he always was – though not quite the same, of course – made a point of introducing everyone to everyone else, which was a good idea, as they were all clearly caught in the middle of something much bigger than themselves, and they were the only ones who knew it. The people around them would go around, completely unawares, until they were directly threatened, and only then would they know something was wrong. Hopefully they would get to the bottom of it before that happened, but they usually didn't. He listened to each introduction, amused at the little group standing about. If he knew anything about the Doctor – himself – he knew that the Doctor simply didn't travel with ordinary people. Sure, they might be ordinary when they start out, but it never stays that way for long. He looks at the Ponds, wondering how they had been lost, and he was glad – glad that the Doctor had found his lost companions. It was clear that he very much cared for them. He would have gaped at the bit about River killing someone – but then, he remembered the first time he'd ever met her. She was something else. And then they were addressed, and he wasn't surprised by the fact that he'd been introduced as the Doctor, but that was only going to make things that much more difficult in this group setting. He laughed at the comment about the trainers, ducking his head to twist his ankle, showing them off. They were getting quite a bit of attention today, weren't they? As the Doctor described Rose, he couldn't help but smile – sadly, really – at the whole of it all. She was all of that and more, and honestly, she'd made a good man out of him. Both of them. He wondered if the Doctor pined over Rose – if his hearts felt heavy at the sight of them together, and he felt guilty. He wasn't half the man that the Doctor was, and he was the one who'd ended up with the treasure. Would the Doctor never catch a break? He watched as the Doctor pulled something from his pocket and tied it around his neck, and his eyes shifted to the ging-- Amy. Her name was Amy. She had said something about the bow tie. He smiled. Always something. “To avoid confusion when things get all chaotic – and we know they will at some point – let's just call me John. Now. You apparently did something catastrophic,” He gestured to River. “But not enough to rip the universe apart, and the fact that Rose and I are here is proof that the walls are breaking down, but as far as ideas as to why, we seem to be lacking. So, does anyone have any ideas at all?” He asked, looking to the Doctor now.
Hey everyone! If you're on, head into the neatchat (link in the OOC blog) please! I know it looks quiet, but there are 4 of us there. We're just quietly waiting for a few more of you to start.
It’s been a few months since the Pond’s departure and the Doctor is convinced that he’s retired, but for whatever reason, he adheres to River’s request to meet in Cardiff. The talk of rift activity seemed fairly standard and he didn’t plan to help, but he figured why not tell River this in person. He was floored to encounter so many of his past companions; his impossible companions. There they were, all back in Cardiff. If there was ever a time to come out of retirement, this was it. The happy reunions and first meetings are cut short by a breaking news story. Strange things are occurring with famous paintings and portraits. Suddenly, many of their subjects have gone missing. The Mona Lisa is empty. Botticelli's Venus is nothing but a shell. The Girl with the Pearl Earring is gone. Van Gogh missing from his self portraits. It’s not happening to every painting, but it’s happening all across the globe. Combined with the surge in rift activity, this seems like just thing for the newly formed Team Tardis to tackle.
We'll start with introductions, obviously, everyone follows their own bio as to how they arrived in Cardiff. Our Doctor players are filled in on the cause and conclusion so feel free theorize plot, etc without worry; there will be guidance towards an eventual conclusion.
Hey team! Our plan is to start for real this weekend. Possibly even Friday afternoon/night if that works for everyone. If that works for everyone, awesome. If there's a conflict, shoot us a message and we will adjust accordingly. Sometime before then, we will post the pilot episode information. We're basically going to give you all the event's beginning, a possible middle point, and a definite end. It'll be pretty open, don't worry. Anything in between will be up to you. So feel free to start plotting with each other to your heart's content as soon as it's posted!
It would be nice if you have a definite plot line for your character in mind for the episode to send it to us so we can post them to try and keep things all together. That way, those without ideas or anyone who's a little lost have something more to go on, you know. I hope this will make more sense once we start. But either way, STARTING ON SATURDAY. IF YOU HAVE A CONFLICT, SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE.
Our team is now complete! Welcome to the RP, Kim! Your app is fantastic and we can't wait to have you join us as our tin dog Mickey! Please send your link within 24 hrs.

Desired Role: Mickey Smith
The flat was a mess. It was always a mess when Martha was out of town because, quite frankly, he could never be bothered. It wasn’t like he was home enough that cleaning was an essential part of life. He had absolutely no problem with kicking aside any trash or shoes or coats that were laying on the living room floor. As long as he could make it into the kitchen to heat up something that Martha had left him to eat (rarely)or to lean against the counter and eat the take-out he had brought home (much more frequently), then take a nice warm shower, then get to bed, he was happy. That’s all he required of a flat.
But of course now she could be coming home any day. And some clients wanted to meet with him there tomorrow, so he supposed it had to look somewhat presentable. The living room, anyway. (The bedroom… well, that was a different matter…)
He was currently in the process of throwing clothes into the bedroom to lay on the bedroom floor. A pair of jeans- flung to the foot of the bed. A shoe, once it’s pair had been found- tucked behind the door. A shirt- wait, that one had a stain on it- laundry basket. A coat- oh, he could wear that out today!
Mickey’s phone vibrated in his pocket. He rolled his eyes as he straightened up, properly annoyed, and without looking to see who was calling, answered, “Hey, yeah, you’ve reached Mickey Smith. If you’re calling about a case I’m currently working on for you, I’m on it, quit bothering me about it. If you’re calling to tell me something new, that’s cool, but it better fit the requirements I’ve got up on the website. No, you can’t talk to Martha, she’s out of town. If this is about that slitheen sighting, it’s fake, quit calling me about it. If this is about those alien fish, it’s handled. And if this is about those weevil sightings in Cardiff, allow me to direct you to Torchwood Cardiff.”

Questions?: I'm hoping that it's alright that I don't have the url yet... Figured I would wait until I knew I had it before creating a new email to use to set up the account.
Yes, he is the only open one, but we are going to accept him in the next couple of days. We are going to eventually include Ianto Jones and, as stated before, we are open to inclusion of certain one-off characters like Jenny (doctor's daughter) and Lady Christina given that the applicant writes their own bio and can work them into the plot appropriately.
what were you saying about oswin not being the new companion lmfao
If you've seen the new Christmas special The Snowmen or don't care for spoilers, then go on and read, but if you want to stay spoiler free (since it's a new episode), then don't go on.
That question was asked before the Christmas special even premiered. At that point, Clara was the new companion. Everybody knew that. It was emphasized repeatedly (in interviews, etc.) that Clara and Oswin are separate characters, played by the same actress. We've seen that before, it's a tradition in the new series for the new companion to make a cameo in an earlier episode (Martha, Donna, Amy), so everybody figured the same for Clara. Of course, there was always speculation about her character's connection to Oswin--before the episode aired. It wasn't confirmed until the end of the episode that Clara and Oswin are one and the same. But, due to the mind-fuckery of whatever plot Moffat has in store for us, we still don't have enough information about it to properly construct a bio for Clara. Eventually, after more of the plot is revealed, we'll consider writing a bio for her. But at this point, not enough is known about her to write for her.

Further note: I'm honestly a little miffed that you sent this to us the SECOND it was revealed who she was post the BBC initial airing. I'm American (as are the rest of the admins), it was aired later for us, and was sort of sad that you spoiled it for me. Just note that was not fair to me. =/ Please don't lecture me that this is tumblr, land of spoilers. This was sent to us in our ask box where there is no avoiding or knowing. Be considerate next time about those kind of spoilers please? Sorry, just felt it needed to be said.
I'd really love a chance to app for Jenny if it were possible? I like the idea of this rp being small and manageable and I'd really liked to join or at least app :D? maaaybe?
Hi! Sorry this is public because mobile, but if you can write a bio for her that fits in with the plots and other bios etc along with your para sample, Jenny is one of the characters we'd consider adding =) So feel free to apply!-Admin Jenna
I'm sorry, but Oswin is not a part of our RP. She's a one-off character who would be particularly hard to incoperate. Given that she's a, well, you saw the episode you know. I don't think given her, uh, condition she'd be a good companion. Hard to travel with. Might scare people off a touch.
Only one-offs we would consider adding later would be Lady Christina de Souza or Jenny or characters that have some sort of opportunity to return. We also plan to include Ianto later and we may even get crazy and write in Wilf.
Clara, on the other hand, has potential to be included later. However, I am still apprehensive about including her only just after the xmas special because we won't know nearly enough about her character.
