my absolute favorite tegan and sara songs are their unreleased tape demos, which i’ve been listening to on youtube for seven years. these songs might be at risk because of the new copyright law, and if they disappear from youtube they are probably going to be very hard to find. i’m assuming these songs are owned by tegan and sara themselves, and not their record label, but we don’t know how the youtube filter will work. also, from my understanding tegan and sara’s covers of for example dancing in the dark could be removed by bruce springsteen’s record label. i’ve decided to download all the unreleased songs that i would like to have access to after the eu copyright law has been applied and i recommend all of you do the same.
