So uh, according to my archive, I haven’t made a post on this blog since November 12th of last year, and that was really just to reblog a manip someone had made, as I wasn’t able to reblog it on my personal for...obvious reasons.
October 2nd was my actual “last post” as someone asked me whether or not I was still a quincest shipper, to which I replied with the fact that the quindom had pretty much died out and it seemed that everyone had moved on with their lives. Weirdly enough, there are still over 1k followers for this blog, and I wonder who is still out there lurking and how many of those blogs have either gone static or turned into something else.
I’ve been thinking about starting up fics again, however it seems as if there are maybe 10-20 people still considering themselves “active” members of this fandom, and I’m not entirely sure if I want to put the effort in. At this point, I don’t know if I’m even familiar with the people that still consider themselves part of the “quindom” anymore, or if any of them are familiar with my writing.
I feel like I’m walking through a ghost town when I scroll through the quincest tag, aside from the hundreds of “RIP Quincest” posts and the one blog pretending to be admin.
So anyway, I’m not entirely sure what this post is meant to be. I’ve been writing privately with another former member of this fandom who has been a dear friend of mine for 2 years--who, oddly enough, was the one who exposed me to the ship in the first place. We keep it between us, though--I’m not sure we’d ever necessarily share it.
If this is a goodbye post, I just want to say to anyone who still lingers around and pokes onto this blog for references or what have you from time to time, I had a really good run here. Made a lot of friendships that were sweet while they lasted. A lot of the time, I wonder what happened to a lot of you, as we never really traded personal blogs or anything of the sort.
This was a safe place where I could write fic for people who enjoyed reading it and a place where I felt comfortable writing it. Not only was it to ~cause feels~, but to help me work through my own feelings and personal issues in a productive manner.
I feel like I kind of just burst onto the scene here over two years ago, with plenty of help from Jess (who I hope has finally gotten married!) and all of the support that I was able to gather from the members of the community at the time and leading up to the last few months I was posting here. I just really, truly loved to be here. Everyday, whenever I found the time between work and school.
I loved it here. I loved the people here. I loved the art and the stories and the jokes and the feelings. It was good. I met a partner here who I spent two years of my life with. But things phase out and I suppose that all things come to an end at some point. Right now, I don’t know if this blog is phasing out or if there is somewhere to go with it yet.
I’ll leave it up to you guys. I don’t see a ton of traffic on quinfic so if I do go back to writing, it will more than likely be posted on my fanfiction.net account.
If not, thanks for all the memories. It was a good run here.
