ushiten week 2026 day 4: space au @teamushiten

I feel like Ushijima would be an astronaut from Earth, sent to make contact with aliens from a faraway planet. There, he meets Tendou during his short stay. After returning to Earth and sharing his findings, Ushijima offers to become the diplomatic representative for Earth, because it's the most logical decision (not at all because of anything related to his new friend Satori), traveling back and forth between the planets. Thus begins a very long distance relationship (though it probably took them a while to recognize it) 😅

It’s the night before the full moon, and as is traditional, Wakatoshi is watching Tendou cook dinner in the tiny shitty kitchen of their dorm. Everyone who attends Shiratorizawa is magical in some way, and the closer they get to the full moon, the more restless the students are. Some people get overly friendly at this time, like Goshiki, who comes up with excuse after excuse to hang out with friends. Some get solitary, like Shirabu, who dens up in his room and refuses to come out for anything. Some have specific rituals they observe, like rewatching the same movie or running extra laps or taking the longest shower they can get away with. Tendou cooks for the team. @teamushiten On the last day, a combo of the prompts for “confessions”, “dorm life” and “fantasy au” !

Tendou Satori/Ushijima Wakatoshi, Tendou Satori & Ushijima Wakatoshi

He’s stopped by a sudden…wet sensation on his arm. Wakatoshi looks down to find his seven-month-old daughter doing her best to chew on his wrist.  “No,” Wakatoshi says sternly, gently attempting to pull Mikasa away from his arm. Mikasa, however, seems to have inherited his stubbornness, and keeps butting her head against his hand. “Mikasa. No. Humans are not food, nor are they adequate teething toys. Stop this.” Mikasa continues to do her best to chew on his wrist, staring up at him with wide eyes. Wakatoshi then enters a strange staring contest with his own daughter, with neither one of them willing to be the first to look away. "Mika-chan! Look what I—oh, what?!" Satori laughs incredulously, dropping Mikasa's cow plushie on the couch and rushing over. He pulls out his phone, immediately beginning to record. "Mika, Mika, keep doing that, keep doing that. Holy sh—crap, this is so cute, this is like the peak of comedy—"
