Alina’s insta story (19.04.05)
Alina’s insta stories (19.04.06)
Alina is a beautiful girl, but to say she should quit skating and become a model is just disgusting. I’ve seen a lot of comments saying that she should just “quit and be a celebrity” or “she won’t surpass this moment” (meaning the Worlds title) as TSL said. People went wild when it was said that Eteri allegedly told Zhenya to “go and have babies.” How is this any different? Its not fair to undermine her achievments like this and basically say she should retire. I’m disappointed with the fans when I see comments like this. It is the skaters decision when they put down the skates, not yours.
azagitova: This is a Masaru’s sister. Her name is Katyan 🐶😍. She is so cute and smart. I was so happy to meet her 🐕👍😂.

Alina Zagitova has been nominated for Athlete of the Month by the USS Sports Academy. Let's vote for her together!
Masaru, Victory is Ours || Worlds 2019
Alina Zagitova shared her victory at the 2019 ISU World Championships with her beloved pup, a 1-year-old Akita Inu named Masaru. Her gold medal at the year’s biggest competition came at the end of a season marred by injury and other struggles. After her second-place finish at the earlier European Championships, she was asked by reporters if her pet dog was getting in the way of her training.
Alina defended her furry friend. “On the contrary, Masaru helps me with everything.”
Masaru was presented to Alina by the Japanese Akita preservation society after she became the Olympic Champion in ladies’ singles skating at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games. The name Masaru means “victory” in Japanese.
Bonus what Masaru was doing while Alina was off winning Worlds
Congrats to Alina Zagitova for achieving a career Grand Slam!! She is the youngest ever and the second lady after the queen, Yuna, to win all major competitions. 🥇 ♡
“alina is naive but I don’t think she is naive enough to be friends with someone who befriends someone who stalked her and threatened to smach her face in“
don’t worry op, alina knows and has her blocked on social media
azagitova: That was a cool experience to have shooting with a Japanese fashion magazine thanks to @shiseido. We made 4 looks of Dior, Dolce&Gabbana, Givenchy and McQueen 👠💍👗👑💥 with SHISEIDO makeup💄and hair style. Looking forward to the new pictures at the end of April 😉

“After the Olympics, we were celebrating, when a Korean walked by and saw the two medals on the table—Alina’s medals. He stopped and said: “These are yours? You should understand that the gods from Olympus decided to reward you for something.”
—Eteri Tutberidze
“Kudos to alina for working on her components even though she was already getting high pcs. If you watch the videos from her junior years to now you can really see the progress she’s made and the way she’s grown from year to year. Maybe this season didn’t go the way she wanted it to but she didn’t rest on her laurels and she didn’t take her scores for granted and i think that’s very admirable“
Alina’s Victory Ceremonies - 2018/2019 Season:
Challenger Series - Nebelhorn Trophy (gold)
Grand Prix - Helsinki (gold)
Grand Prix - Rostelecom Cup (gold)
Grand Prix Final (silver)
European Championships (silver)
World Championships (gold)
I'm so grateful how this season ended for Alina! I'm just shocked about her foot and really saddened. I hope she can get some treatment to make it better (during her little break). Do you know what these burns are from? Friction? And why chemical? I'm so confused.
The burn was caused by dimexidum from a hot compress Alina’s grandma made to help her with her pain. At GPF, Ted Barton announced that Alina had hurt her ankle tripping over a power cord, and who knows what other issues were dogging her. Alina believes actions > words and keeps her injuries to herself.
(I’ve noticed some people blaming Grandma for Alina’s injury, so I’d like to ask, please don’t blame Grandma. Grandma’s medical knowledge may be lacking, but she loves Alina very much. I’m sure she feels terrible about the accident and she doesn’t need us adding to it.)
Thankfully, Alina was able to overcome everything thrown at her this season and win Worlds in a dominant fashion. Also thankfully, her burn seems to have healed.
Thanks for the ask, anon.
