Whew! I haven’t touched my camera in a few months and hotdayum was my lighting game off, but here’s a preview of the few shots I got at Youma this year. Thank gods for photoshop.

I meant to post this a while ago, but I’ve been super busy. A couple weeks ago there was a masquerade ball that my friends and I went to, and it was one of the best nights I’ve had in a while. Attend a masquerade ball is now officially checked off my bucket list! So I feel weird posting so many pictures of myself, but I wanted to show off two things: first, the mask that I worked really hard on and am so proud of, and second, and more importantly, the amazing job that my friend Tori did taking photos. She usually does cosplay photography, senior portraits, and weddings (sometimes) and her work is really good. So if you need photos of a costume, want to do stuff at a con, or have any photography needs you should definitely hit her up at Tea-Shot Photography. Not only are her pictures great, but she is also a pretty awesome person!

I had a sweet time shooting at the Grand Rapids Public Museum a few weekends ago!  Glad you like the photos. :)

I had an absolute blast shooting these two, they were great.

I'm going to be kicking myself forever for not getting detail shots though, especially the shoes. Thankfully you can see them in full-body shots; they're completely covered in leaves, it's brilliant.

(I apologize if any of the coloring is inconsistent; I got everything tuned in on the Mac, but they're a little off on my laptop. I'm hoping it's just my screen.)

This is going to sound really creepy but do you have any url or something for the Gary in your Ib photo? I met him and complimented his cosplay and got a pic with him but then went on our way. He was super nice and people into Ib are cool in my book haha

I am going to cry I am so pleased with how this turned out, especially since I think it's the only serious shot I got out of my weenie friends during the entire hour and a half I was shooting them.

Youmacon 2013 (Preview) I had SO much fun shooting this weekend, I can't even convey my feelings. I was pretty nervous about setting up "actual" shoots as opposed to solely goofing off with my friends, but I think it went really well and the experience was great.

I had a ton of fun shooting everyone, and I wanna say thanks again to all the lovely people who tipped me; it was by no means required (I was offering free shoots, and I meant it) but I can not tell you how much it meant to me that you guys appreciated my work that much. And before you even saw any photos! I'm still really new to this, but I hope I can go above and beyond what everyone was expecting.
