You might start seeing this Japanese robot at businesses in the U.S.
Known as “Pepper,” this bot is programmed to be a home-helper and business assistant. Its maker Aldebaran is currently in talks with some unnamed U.S. businesses to bring Pepper to the U.S. Once the company rolls out Pepper to U.S. businesses, it would begin planning a consumer offering.
The bot can dance and hold a conversation as well as act as a reminder system; it also has a tablet that can access the internet and operate apps. But its most impressive ability could really help humans in need.

Atlas Chen, an indie game designer who is currently working on his game, Gemini, will be in the house to talk about PACING the level design of single-player games. Level design is a very complicated subject. Pacing is the core art of designing good levels in games of progression such as Uncharted, Journey, and Super Mario Brothers. Pacing includes -the arrangement of difficulty -gameplay intensity, drama conflicts -visual/audio elements -elements of novalty and more! Proper pacing keeps the player engaging in the levels that you design and leads to a satisfaction overall gameplay and narrative experience. Atlas, who has been designing since 2002, will do a short levle design exercise and give us a glimpse into his creative process.
