from what i can gather the actual name of this piece (and the actual name of the greature herself by extension) when translated simply means “the birdman”.

the artist goes under the name Blattlimwind and is a german surrealist sculptor who makes a bunch of other interesting looking little creatures.

and as for the original image itself - unedited this is what it looks like. given his love for sculpting i believe this item is not photoshopped but a real, physical object.

unfortunately the archive stops somewhere around 2018 ish and appears not to have been updated for several years and it’s very vague as to why. i hope that wherever Blattlimwind is now he’s doing ok. nonetheless the pages of his works are very interesting to comb through and it’s worth your time if you’re a fan of the og greature image
