tldr personal reasons and levels of discomfort with the ship, the game, the fandom

#i think parts of my interpretation of them were incorrect as time revealed more in ways that upset me #the popularity has a lot of pressure tied to it #and for a while i couldnt interact w deltarune at all #because i kind of hate the way the episodic releases allows the game to respond to the fanbase.#i think its kind of uncomfortable and i wish it happened less #i think one or two instances of ribbing is fine but to have it happen repeatedly makes it feel like theres 'right' and 'wrong'.#also the fanbase is incredibly rude & needy. my return w flowery is born of my own passion and i want to have as little fandom involvement-#as i can possibly muster
