Loving yourself
Isn’t it crazy how easily you can forget about yourself? I mean… everytime I do something I think of someone else. I don’t just go and do it for myself. But because this year I wanted to work on myself and learn how to love myself again I changed things up. So if you are like me then these things might make you think and change the way you live your daily life: - light candles. Just for yourself. (Yes even the really nice smelling ones ;) ) - workout to your favourite music (You don’t have to listen to Dubstep or Remix songs if you don’t want to) - cook something nice (Doesn’t matter if it’s the most healthy or not. Treat yourself!) - Take time out of your day and read. (Even it’s your favourite book that you have read 10 times already) - Do your nails even if there is no event coming up. - Have a bath instead of a shower for once. (You can take your time) - Try yoga or something that get’s your mind off of things and makes you relax. - Put your phone on silent and close your e-mails. (Yes people can go on without you for a while) - Look in the mirror and smile. (You can add “I love you” too if you feel the need to) - Snuggle up in your cozy clothes at 7pm and end the day there. (You don’t have to work until midnight every day) - Go to bed earlier and get up in the morning. (You can do so much more if you get up at 8 instead of 10) - Besides your To-Do-List, write a Want-To-Do-List with things that you like to do that day besides your “Have-to’s” - Take a minute to breath. (Seriously. Can you remember the last time you just focused on your breath? It’s important!) I really hope that this could help someone :) Just the lighting candles thing made me happier than ever in this first week of the new year :D I know it sounds silly at first but once you try it you will realise that you will get to know yourself a little bit better each time :)
