Becoming increasingly well known around the UK and Europe, South London Ordnance has been blowing up the past 12 months with releases on Well Rounded, Audio Culture and Warp alongside remixes for artist including Ivy Lab's Critical Music release.

The latest audio delights from S.L.O for you to get your ears around comes in the form of a live recorded set from S.L.O's recent set at Fabric, London. This 20min teaser includes everything we have come to love about the sound S.L.O is pushing. The sort of techno that gets you moving  and keeps you moving all night long, the driving kicks, the pulsing bass combined with shuffling hats, subtle pads and seamless mixing combine for a quick tour of all things fresh and exciting in the world of techno. Effy, the duo comprising two Irish boys Kieran & Peter are set to release a seriously weighty EP on Discos Dead records. With free downloads and mixtapes for the Only Vibes mix series under their belt and a regular radio show on Rood FM this duo are one to watch in the future.

The lead track for this EP titled "Forth" is the sort of track that can be heard up and down the country every weekend. The deep, dark industrial sound this track resonates has been making waves this past year with the likes of Paleman and Dense & Pika leading the way. The track builds from an industrial sounding kick drum accompanied by light hi hats and a groaning almost dog bark synth notes which comes to the front at the drop with the kick really driving home with a crisp snare and hats adding real depth alongside sub bass elements teasing their way in throughout. These elements create a serious swing to the song and are guaranteed to get the dance going. This track is tough and weighty and ticks all the boxes people have come to expect from the UK techno sound.

On the flip we have a track titled "The Look" offers more of that techno sound people can;t get enough of. Punchy drums, dark moody synths and weighty bass notes combine to create another dancefloor mover. With the addition of a vocal sample occasionally rearing its head "The Look" will be making its way into my sets when it sees a release. The two track E.P also features a stripped back drum focused remix of "Forth" by Northampton based producer Arka.

Release date is still unknown and many are eager and waiting to get their hands on this weighty E.P as soon as it drops.

Dimensions Festival have just launched their highlights video for the 2013 festival which took place in Pula, Croatia the week after big brother Outlook Festival reached its climax.

Dimensions is "an underground electronic music festival held at Fort Punta Christo, perhaps one of the most amazing festival locations ever imagined.

2014 sees outlook take place on 27-31st August before Outlook kicks off 3-7th September.

A fast paced blinder of a set from Gerd @ ADE 2013. An eclectic mix of deep house, tech and acid including many of the mans own unreleased remixes. Be sure to check the whole thing its a refreshing look into the house scene.

Shamless Self Promotion
