Sometimes you get thinking about Tedoire and the family tree and it just hits you the Teddy's father is closer in age to Victoire's grandparents than to his own wife, who is younger than Victoire's father.

Like ... Teddy's mother was best friends with Victoire's uncle, and Teddy's father is only a couple years younger than Victoire's grandparents. Teddy's father is closer in age to Apolline and Monsieur Delacour than to Nymphadora Tonks. Like, sometimes you're doing something and that really just smacks you in the face. He went to school with his wife's parents too. Meanwhile Severus Snape was already a Professor by the time Tonks joined the student body. Tonks is younger than Bill and Remus is only eight or so years younger than Bill's parents. He went to school with Bill's uncles. And then, once you get to thinking about it, you realise Fleur is freshly eighteen when Bill, a man in his late twenties, starts dating her.

It's not necessarily icky, they met as adults, but it just really hits you sometimes that Tedoire have a family tree full of age gaps and then they're barely a year apart.

Some Tedoire 😌

In my headcanons for them I ignore the epilogue mainly bc of 2 things, 1st, I don't like the implication of Teddy just being considered real family if he marries Vic like 🙄 no, he should still be considered part of the family even if he never married a Weasley, that just annoyed me a bit ok (I'm probably reading too much into one tiny line ngl but still hahahjsk.)

And 2nd, while I enjoy when they start dating while they're teenagers, I personally prefer the idea of them just having so many doubts and different responsibilities as the tow oldest to entertain the idea that the other one might like them back (they also probably think the other one it's too good for them) so they have to work their own issues and conflicts out before realizing their feelings and getting together, I would say they start dating fr maybe when they're around 22/24 years old give or take, and then they stay together forever and ever and live happily ever after.

Also, I'm thinking their relationship it's pan x pan, and Victoire is ace bc why not 🙂‍↕️

some random next gen headcanons

bill weasley is a very protective father and teddy is terrified of him

lorcan is a nerdy he/they bisexual who carries around a notebook 24/7 and has been running a study on how lysander's presence negatively affects people for the past 3 years

(best believe lily luna's into that shit)

branching off of that lily luna is her first name. she has two first names and no middle name

(albus and james both have 1 first name and 1 middle name and albus's middle name is rubeus tyvm)

lucy and albus are best friends but like. secretly? idk like they don't actually try to hide it but it's unexpected (they have very different personalities) and nobody's really paying attention anyway

albus and harry start working to fix their relationship around albus's 6th year

(this involves harry having to talk to scorpius, and it's not that harry dislikes scorpius, it's that harry is terrified of scorpius. who is a very pleasant, polite teenage boy. ginny laughs her ass off every time harry talks about how scorpius spooks him)

ginny and draco run into each other enough after dropping off the kids at king's cross that they make grabbing coffee together afterwards a regular thing

(they also hang out and become friends bc of albus and scorpius but also bc they genuinely enjoy each other's company)

teddy and victoire are lucy's second set of parents. nobody, me included, can explain how this happened

(lucy is the godmother of their children and she takes it VERY seriously)
