The application to attend TEDxCairo 2016 has already opened. Knowing that the deadline to apply is 16th of April, we would like to answer your frequently asked questions in case you’re not acquainted with our registration process or have any questions, please read below for clarification:
What do I do if I want to attend TEDxCairo?
You apply. Before the conferences, we release an application form that everyone who wishes to attend should fill in. The applications are reviewed and all applicants receive a response before the conference.

Do I have to be a former attendant to attend this year's conference?
No, attending a conference depends solely on the quality of applications and filtration process.
Can I submit more than one application?
No. Duplicating applications will lead to an automatic disqualification.
We have an online community of more than 440,000 people. Consequently thousands of people would like to attend the TEDxCairo conference.
Our venue capacity is up to 1000 seats.
2. The audience is central to the experience
So why not do it on a first-come-first serve basis if it’s a numbers issue? Because it’s not just about quantity, but - more importantly - quality.
TEDxCairo’s community is wonderfully diverse; it’s that diversity that drives all the vibrant conversation on all sorts of topics within the community. We need that diversity to be accurately reflected in the live audience. When you attend TEDxCairo, you don’t just watch the talks; you also share a common experience with the leading thinkers and doers from the TEDxCairo community.
So how do you decide who the “leading thinkers and doers are”?
Through the questions in the application. Every question is especially designed so that the overall response to the application provides the most accurate profile possible -on paper- of the applicant.
So how can I submit a “good” application?
The criteria is rather complex. But if there’s one piece of good advice we can give you, it’s to take your time and plan. Plan your answers, revise them and then submit them. No need to rush.
After applying, how would I know if I got rejected or accepted?
You will receive an email with your status within a week after application closure.
It is a full day event, where it starts in the morning and ends after sunset
Do you provide transportation to the event?
We work hard every year to improve the whole experience which includes transportation. Transportation options will be communicated with accepted attendees
Are there any other options to make me attend (other than applying online)?
Yes, usually two weeks before the conference, we run several competitions over our channels and give out invitations for winners. Stay tuned.

استمارة حضور مؤتمر تيد إكس كايرو بدأت بالفعل، و تم الإعلان عن أخر ميعاد للتقديم في 16 من أبريل الجاري. و نظراً لتكرار بعض الأسئلة لكل من لم يسبق لهم المشاركة في فعاليات مؤتمرات تيد إكس كايرو السابقة، أردنا تجميع تلك الأسئلة و الإجابة عليها.
ماذا أفعل إذا أردت حضور المؤتمر؟-
قبل انطلاق كل مؤتمر، يقوم فريق تيد إكس كايرو بنشر استمارة تقديم عبر شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي، و بذلك على الراغب في الحضور ملء تلك الاستمارة. بعدها يتم مراجعة الاستمارات، و يتم إرسال الرد للمُتقدمين قبل المؤتمر سواء بالقبول أو عدمه.رابط استمارة التقديم ل تيد إكس كايرو 2016 : https://tedxcairo.fluidreview.com/
هل يُشترط أن أكون قد شاركت في مؤتمر سابق؟-
لا يُشترط ذلك تماماً، فالاختيار يعتمد فقط على جودة استمارة التقديم التي على أساسها يتم الاختيار.
هل يمكنني إرسال أكثر من استمارة؟-
لا يمكن، ازدواج بيانات أكثر من استمارة يؤدي إلى رفض تلقائي للمتقدم.
لماذا يوجد استمارة تقديم؟-
الإجابة عن ذلك السؤال ترجع لسببين:
-أولا: بالأرقام و الحسابات:
لدينا عبر قناوات التواصل الاجتماعي أكثر من440,000 متابع، و عادة آلاف الأشخاص ترغب في الحضور باستمرار إلى تيد إكس كايرو ، و لكن سعة المكان حيث يُقام الحدث تصل إلى 1000 مقعد.
-ثانياً: الجمهور هو محور التجربة:
كان بإمكاننا أن نجعل الدخول للمؤتمر بأسبقية الحضور، و لكن الأمر ليس بالكم و لكن الأهم هو الكيف. هي ليست مسألة أرقام و فقط.مجتمع تيد إكس كايرو هو مجتمع رائع في تنوّعه، و هذا التنوع يدفع إلى مُحادثات شيّقة و حيوية حول كل الموضوعات بين أفراد الحضور.عندما تحضر مؤتمر تيد إكس كايرو أنت لا تشاهد فقط محاضرات بل تشارك خبراتك مع مُفكرين و فاعلين من مجتمع تيد إكس كايرو
إذاً كيف تحددون من هم الأشخاص المفكرين و الفاعلين؟-
كل سؤال هو مُصمم خصيصاً لاستنباط بعض السمات الشخصية للمُتقدم، بحيث تُعطي مجموعة الأسئلة أدق انطباع ممكن عن المتقدم من خلال إجاباته على تلك الأسئلة.
إذاً كيف يمكنني تقديم استمارة جيدة؟-
المعايير مُعقدة إلى حد ما، و لكن إذا كان بإمكاننا تقديم نصيحة واحدة فسوف تكون تلك النصيحة أن تأخذ ما يكفيك من الوقت و تخطط لإجاباتك ، لا داعي إلى العجلة و التسرع. خطط إلى إجاباتك، راجعها ثم إرسلها
كيف أعرف نتيجة القبول أو الرفض بعد التقديم؟-
تصلك رسالة بالقبول أو الرفض على بريدك الاكتروني.
الحدث يكون ليوم كامل، حيث يبدأ في الصباح الباكر و ينتهي وقت غروب الشمس.
هل توفّر تيد إكس كايرو وسائل النقل لمكان المؤتمر؟-
في كل سنة نحاول أن يستمتع الحضور بأفضل تجربة ممكنة، وبالنسبة للمواصلات سيتم مراسلة الحضور لعرض عليهم وسائل النقل المتاحة قبل اليوم المحدد للمؤتمر بوقت كافٍ.
هل هناك أي وسائل لأحضر المؤتمر غير استمارة التقديم المتاحة؟-
بالتأكيد، عادةً قبل المؤتمر بأسبوعين نعلن عن مسابقات عبر قناوات التواصل الاجتماعي لـ تيد إكس كايرو و منها يحصل الفائزون على دعوات للحضور.
