@tegoriin
I think a lot about how we as a culture have turned “forever” into the only acceptable definition of success.
Like… if you open a coffee shop and run it for a while and it makes you happy but then stuff gets too expensive and stressful and you want to do something else so you close it, it’s a “failed” business. If you write a book or two, then decide that you don’t actually want to keep doing that, you’re a “failed” writer. If you marry someone, and that marriage is good for a while, and then stops working and you get divorced, it’s a “failed” marriage.
The only acceptable “win condition” is “you keep doing that thing forever”. A friendship that lasts for a few years but then its time is done and you move on is considered less valuable or not a “real” friendship. A hobby that you do for a while and then are done with is a “phase” - or, alternatively, a “pity” that you don’t do that thing any more. A fandom is “dying” because people have had a lot of fun with it but are now moving on to other things.
I just think that something can be good, and also end, and that thing was still good. And it’s okay to be sad that it ended, too. But the idea that anything that ends is automatically less than this hypothetical eternal state of success… I don’t think that’s doing us any good at all.
Big mood
I'm still seeing a few donation posts going around for sheikh jarrah, I know people are trying to help and everyone has good intentions, but these donation campaigns are not endorsed by them!! there's a lot people trying to take advantage of the situation and they're stealing money. instead, palestinians are asking for you to place political pressure, protest, boycott, divest, and share what's happening.
however, gaza needs donations for medical, financial, and food aid. below I've linked some trusted organisations:
PCRF (palestine children's relief fund) is an organisation that provides free medical care to children in palestine: urgent gaza relief fund
UPA (united palestinian appeal) is also directly based in palestine and provides emergency relief in gaza
palestine emergency charity that provide medical aid to wounded people and work with PCRF
PCRF’s headquarters were bombed a few days ago—during the same wave of attacks that destroyed a clinic and killed 42+ people, the Palestinian Ministry of Health, and civilian homes—and need all the donations they can get! Another great organization is Anera, who are on the ground in Gaza getting medical supplies and other necessities directly to Gazans. Just $38 can buy 20 bags of blood for Gaza’s blood bank.

I’m honestly a little curious.

mbti-notes:
every person has within them a “voice” that guides them towards self-actualization. Every person hears the voice eventually, usually when they become an adult (in their mentality, not chronological age). As an adult, you have more freedom to choose the kind of life you want to live and more space to envision the kind of person you hope to be. Some people choose to listen to their inner voice, but some people deny it out of fear, shame, guilt, pride, etc.
You can remove that obstacle at any time by giving up the overthinking and simply living life with trust and faith.
My suggestion is that you should worry less about who says what and worry more about what kind of person you are, what influence you have in your world, and what you’re doing to contribute to the problems and solutions that would make society worse or better. Children concern themselves with what authorities think; busybodies concern themselves with what other people do; cynical people drown themselves in criticism and negativity; mature people know that change starts from oneself and ripples from there. You can’t think big when you don’t even know how to think small.
Nostalgia.
“When nobody else celebrates you, learn to celebrate yourself. When nobody else compliments you, then compliment yourself. It’s not up to other people to keep you encouraged. It’s up to you. Encouragement should come from the inside.”
