Been Gone, BUT I come bearing a gift

I took a pause on doing my question of the day unintentionally as another project of mine took a majority of my focus...

that project being a short story for a writing competition that I can now share with you all, and won't know if I've won until mid-late April. I thought about waiting to post until I heard results. BUT I'm too impatient for that XD So be on the look out for:

Questions for Characters: Day 12

Is your oc afraid of touch or do they actively seek it out? Is there a reason for this? What are the exceptions?

AK: Don't touch him; he will pull a gun or knife on you. Especially if you are coming from behind. The only person whom he won't, is Sven; the two of them have a kind of trust that has been built upon years of having each other's backs. Truthfully, the only time AK fully relaxes without chemicals forcing it is when he is with Sven, while not on an assignment.

Sven: He is a medic, so he will tolerate touching other people, but there are very few he will seek out for physical touch. The person who will get the most contact is AK in the form of Sven slinging an arm around him, hand on the shoulder, that kind of thing. He is the only one who can get away with suddenly touching AK and not getting a fist in the face.

Clover: They have picked up a lot of mannerisms from being in the south and so being touchy is second nature to them, plus they often calmed horses and other animals down with touch. There are days where they have a lower capcity for human touch, but never shies away from animal touch. KayKei: Both seeks it out and avoids it like the plague. His home life before coming out was okay, but once he got kicked out he was on his own and his mind/body came to associate touch with both good and bad. So, he is both touch-averse and touch-starved.

Clover's Moodboard and inspo for their character, they were one of the harder one's for me to create, as a lot of their side of the story doesn't interact with the main one until later down the line. oup is that saying too much?

Are your ocs dating anyone?

AK: Technically Single, not looking or interested, hasn't given it any thought

Sven: Technically Single, only has romantic attraction towards men

Clover: Single, prefers women or enbys

KayKei: Single but looking. prefers men or enbys, likes being just friends with women.

Questions for Characters: Day 10

What’s the cruelest thing they’ve done that they don’t regret?

AK: Systematically broke someone's legs, then feet, and only stopped at three fingers cause the guy finally fessed up.

Sven: Purposefully gave the wrong dose of medicine to someone to help send a message.

Clover: Watched my boss use tongs to grab a hot horseshoe and burn his clothes.. accidentally getting some skin cause he was being a prick.

KayKei: Someone who was in the homeless circle who was an absolute piece of shit was like starving for food, and I lied about having any.

AK: English, Spanish, and some.. choice words on other languages

Sven: English, and some Latin

Clover: English, Latin, Italian, Spanish and some Russian, rusty though.

What's something that really scared them as a kid?

AK: Doesn't Know

Have any of your characters had a near-death experience? How did this impact them?

AK: Many times, between gunfights, scraps, chases, and waking up beneath rubble, he most definitely has had a few. Most he brushes off as part of the job, but the sound of rubble is always creaking in his ear

Sven: Thankfully, no, he himself has never been near death, but he has patched up AK and others who were knocking on death's door.

Clover: there was a close call when they were dealing with a rogue horse that they were helping with, but that's it.

KayKei: Despite being homeless for a time, he hasn't had any, mainly due to having good friends who helped him out.

Does your oc have any allergies, intolerances, or other sensitivities? How dangerous is it? Does this affect their daily life in any way?

KayKei: Lactose intolerant and allergic to chocolate also not a huge fan of spice Clover: None Sven: Mild pollen AK: eyes are sensitive to light, scalp is also sensitive, doesn't handle cold well.

KayKei: Walking Clover: Horseback or ATV Sven: Silver Auddi AK: Motorcycle, Yamaha R7 Nightwing Blue

Questions for Characters Day 2

What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do? KayKei: He can sit still for a good few hours (5-6), especially if he has a game or book that he is reading, but he can get starting getting twitchy/antsy if he stays indoors to long due to his affinity of Jaguar transformation. Clover: They don't sit still very well, they like to always be doing something and will find something to do if they sit still for too long, which for them would be two hours or so. The only time that they can sit still is if they are working with a spooked animal and need to project an air of calmness or they are studying for their medical degree. Sven: He could sit still for awhile, but often finds that he never has the time to do so as he gets called in for wound treatment often or he is forcing AK to take a break and himself by extention by having them go out of base for a bit.. where envitably one or both get called in for something. AK: He gets antsy if he isn't doing something with his hands or hasn't taken anything to calm his over active mind the fuck down. He can sit still for a while if needed, but he doesn't like too as his body is constantly in a state of fight or flight. As he has to constantly be on the lookout for danger. Which gets heightened when he is around people he doesn't know very well and that can make him even more twitchy. This is part of the reason why he takes some of the drugs that he does, it's his way of self regulating (and attempts at preventing the nightmares that he fairly routinely deals with).

Questions For Characters!

What signs tell that your oc is nervous? Do they fidget, is it in their expression or the way they say things? Or are they very skilled at hiding it?

KayKei: He is always fairly nervous and has a lot of tells that will betray this, as he was very high-anxiety, especially when it comes to other people. His most regular way of telling if he is nervous is when he fidgets with his clothes or starts using his thumb to feel the tips of his other fingers. However, when especially stressed, he will fiddle with his headphones and slouch into himself to appear smaller. He is the most nervous of the group, and was actually scared of AK when they first met in the dorms. Clover: They tend to cover up any nervousness or anxiety that they feel, normally through talking or forcing themself to stand up straight with shoulders back like they would when riding a horse that is easily spooked. However when it comes to acedemics their nerves will show more blantantly with them sometimes excessively studying their notes and lectures. Their biggest nervous tell is when they go quiet which happens when their confidence in themself gets shaken. Often due to information that they act on being false or contradicted by someone else. Sven: He has nerves of steel that he doesn't let show as it can be a weakness used against him with the kind of life that he lives. However that just means that when it does show it's normally only seen when it can't be contained or by people who know him just that well. His biggest tell for major nerves is when his hands tremble or shake and when his breathing turns a tad too purposeful. As the Agrios's head doctor he has to keep a level head and hands steady and to help with keeping steady he focuses on what is in front of him and his breathing. Low level nerves can be picked up on through what he says and how he says it. AK: The hardest, but also in some ways, the easiest to spot. He is difficult to read and doesn't often get nervous. More often than not, if something goes off course, he'll curse out the person who caused the plan to go off course. There's not a lot that can make him nervous, but when he does get nervous, he is more likely to lash out verbally or physically. Usually done with a cold kind of anger that builds and crashes harshly. However, push his buttons when he is already cornered, and you will get burned. Due to how physical he is, low level nerves could be seen in him clenching his fists at his sides or he leaves to take a smoke break.

Sven: So... what happened last night? AK: Agrio had a rat in our ranks. That's what happened. Sven: That so? Let me guess... Erimma?

AK: Yea, no shit watson Sven: Isn't it 'no shit Sherlock?' AK: As if you'd be Sherlock, if any thing your Watson Sven: Riiiiiiggghhhhttttt

Magix Modern History: study more modern stories and events of the magical world and its civilizations. 9.)Magix Veterinarian: specialize in learning how to take care of, treat, and groom various magix animals. 10.) Defense: learn all there is to know about protecting oneself and others. (*Note: This program is small and requires a separate application, a letter of recommendation, and a 4-year commitment with 1 year in some kind of defensive or offensive position after completion.) 11.)Literature: Similiar to a typical English course with a focus on Magix writers and authors. 12.) Alchemy: Learn the rules of transforming things into another, its a kind of chemistry-like class, but using magix that normal humans thought was gone. 13.)Astrology: Study of the Stars, constellations and their history and how to use them to traverse the physical and metaphysical plane. 14.)Magiology: Biology of the magix world, learn about how creatures and plants are formed and how to identify signs of various abilities. 15.)Magriculture: Cultivate magically enriched foods and learn how to care for the plants that produce them. 16.)Artificing: Learning how to manipulate various materials to create new or old items through physical or metaphysical means, with the use of enchantments to enhance their purpose. (These are the engineers.) 17.)Theatre: Use your affinity to the fullest to enhance the auidences experience and immersion of your performance. And many more to come!
